What North American Union? This should be interesting. I am guessing that if this one passes unremarked there will be another. The anti-Paul Israbots will of course continue spamming with anti-Paul disinformation and so Goldi will be forced to either ban the Israbots, which she will not do, or take another hypocritical action. However, trying to ban the guy who wrote the software could be rather difficult to make stick. I'm sure Neil knows every backdoor into the programming. This could end up being quite hilarious. This entire matter is very curious.. one thing I've wondered is why she was AWOL for 3 or 4 days after dropping the 'bomb' .. as a forum owner, there would be NO way I'd disappear for days after having doing something SO very controversial .. (first I will say I wouldnt do anything of the sort.. ) of course she would have to know there would be a LOT of people who would be very upset.. so why disappear for days? My guess is that she was watching and waiting the entire time. The lack of comment is a dead giveaway. It is the old "the dog that did not bark in the night" type of datum. I would also speculate that she anticipated that there would be some who would vociferously protest the heavy handed action and that she wanted to wait to have a fig leaf of pretext for the bannings. That may have been part of the reason for her big public show announcement on it. Machiavellian, but then those whom we oppose think Machiavelli was a great man.

I was there mainly because it was a battleground site and I, along with a few others, were engaged in combatting the lies being spread from El Pee. No other reason than that and that there were a few sympatico souls with which to struggle.

Because this is bigger than 4um or LP. This is about the candidacy of Ron Paul, and what's happened on LP, if it hurts Ron Paul, can have an impact on the country. That in small part but certainly much more so if it happens over and over again throughout the internet. No, this goes beyond the confines of LP, and Ron Paul's candidacy is worth crossing immoral boundries and breaking hypocritcal rules -- if in fact that is what the rules truly are. It's the right thing to do.

Then all of a sudden she became this shrill Duncan Hunter groupie and focused all of her energy on slamming Ron Paul. As if his supporters would actually support Hunter, a friggin' authoritarian warmonger who's never seen an amendment he wasn't willing to piss on. And she makes up or takes out of context alot of what she posts.
Someone should apply and try to make some money on it to see how it works. See if they get any pay offers from the GOP or specific campaigns, or even the "Fair and Balanced", "We report, you decide" folks.

I was just browsing LP. It seems like that Bush Fan guy posted a bunch of articles about CFRed and Julie-Annie and has the bots all in an uproar. They're claiming he's a Ron Paul supporter trying to piss off Goldi-Lox. I find this strange because he's been touting these two sionce the day he arrived on LP. They've complained to Goldi. It would appear that they are trying to make it where only Hunter articles can be posted.

We just had an earthquake hit central Ecuador. 6.x near Ambato. We felt it here in Guayaquil about 200 miles away. They say no damage. That was my second life experience tremor, the first being a softer, quicker shake about a month ago.

Just a nice little shocker. It does get your attention though. We had one hear last year (Oregon) that slammed into the house like an explosive shockwave. I thought it was going to take the house off of its foundation. My personal favorite was as a kid in Seattle - the Alaskan Earthquake. It was above 8 in Alaska and was either 7.2 or 7.4 in Seattle. I still remember my Mom yelling at us kids to stand in the doorways till the quake passed. Definitely an interesting experience. I was in a bigger one in Montana when I was younger, but actually slept through it. That one created Earthquake Lake in Yellowstone.

I remember being on-line with Independent Conservative when she was going through an earthquake in California. What ever happened to her? She left at the same time Palo left LP as they were friends.
They can be a bit unsettling. Good for shaking the dust loose though. I can't say that I take them for granted but I am fatalistic about them, and fascinated with them - just the way you might be fascinated by anything which is potentially dangerous. It was interesting that while I was living in So. Cal. that I am one of those people who feel them coming before they hit. I learned that one afternoon when we had a 5.6 hit - a nice little shake, but as I was setting at my desk I found myself thinking "this is not it" there is going to be another one, and sure as shootin' about 20 minutes later we got a 4.7 aftershock. Kind of freaky. I had heard of individuals who were Earthquake sensitives but had no idea I had even a trace of the talent.
