Jesus, there’s another video of Ben Johnson, the chairman of the Iowa Federation of College Republicans. In this one, he talks about his organization’s efforts to support the troops. And he totally says, at one point, “we send packages to their units.”

Love your pom-poms, guy:

“Beef jerky! Love beef jerky. That is the biggest thing. They just love it! So we buy packs of beef jerky, and we’ll buy toiletries, and we’ll buy — if they want a Sports Illustrated — they’ll write personally, and so we send packages to their units, just fulla stuff!”

Here’s a way to support the troops — have Congress re-institute the draft, draft Ben Johnson first and then end the draft. Then this Johnson can bring his beef jerky over personally.
