Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get pics of either Tom Cryer or Robert Lawrence. It was a great time spent with these principled, courageous, and inspiring "freedom fighters." I wish you all could have been there. I'll be posting a youtube of Ed Griffin's outstanding and informational speech at last night's banquet as soon as Danny Romero, from WTPRN, gets it uploaded. It's a must hear for everyone. (8 images)

you can't see any images? it must be because you have your browser set to filter images? it shouldn't be because of 4um's filtering.

Nice pictures. I went to this group's event last March in Irvine, had a great time. Looks like you got a pic of 'Peymon' in the background in the first shot. He puts on a really great event, doesn't he? Not to quash the moment but many aren't aware that he spent time in prison. you know anything about that? what was the charge/ conviction? ALso, i have another point of contention. many of the folks he talked about have also had property seizures, and for example, that one woman who purportedly, 'beat the IRS', her name escaqpes me at the moment, .. she pleaded to additional charges, and ended up paying the IRS a bundle anyway. A lot of this is well intentioned BS that doesnt work., IMO. By not fully disclosing the whole truth and the risks, he puts people in jeopardy, and i don't like that.

I didn't know that Peymon spent time in prison! Every one of the speakers including Cryer and Dickstein said that basically it IS a crap shoot because they don't have to follow the law. The bottom line is that bush was right when he said the constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper. Still, these principled, courageous men cannot stop the fight for themselves and us. They did advise vehemently that every one who gets into this better do their own research and be fully aware of what they're getting into.

Is it Vernie Kuglin you're speaking of?

I am probably going to buy a modern gun soon and I'll check that out. Right now I use a Mosin-Nagant. I bought several some years ago becasue they were really cheap and could bring down an Elk or a bear. The old Russian ammo is only three buck for 20. Seems to work fine and you can afford to rat hole a huge pile of the stuff.

I was looking for a scope mount a few days ago and found this comparison of an AK, AR-15 and a Mosin. I thought it wss funny.

AK vs. AR vs. Mosin Nagant

G. Edward Griffin and me

I first saw him interviewing Yuri Bezmenov:

tw.video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=1186738

I noticed him in Fiat Empire, and then I stumbled on to his "An Idea Whose Time Has Come" video:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6015291679758430958

I also found his interview of Norman Dodd: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4446387174017711777

I noticed that he spoke on behalf of Ron Paul in California recently (also on Youtube).

"It takes 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation. Why that many years? because this is the minimum number of years required to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy. In other words, Marxism and Leninism ideology is being pumped into the soft heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counter balanced by the basic values of Americanism."~Bezmenov

interesting...

Notice that Yuri is speaking as if our institutions had not yet been corrupted, and he identifies critics of America as useful idiots (in the 1980s). G. Edward Griffin has appeared in another film from around the same time (that I can't find right now) that attempts to illustrate the subversion of our institutions; his warning would have served as a defense against communist corruption from the inside. Yet later, in his "An Idea" film, it is clear that he has become pessimistic. It must be discouraging for people like Yuri Bezmenov today, as he has said that there is "no where to run."

As Griffin says in his "Idea" film, we have to start getting more active in politics and pursuing opportunities to persuade others to share our views. He suggests that a typical trait among people who love freedom is to be independent and to avoid serving in public offices. He says that this must change, because it's the only way to get the country back.

hahaha, that was good. I liked the teflon absurdities on the AR side.

I picked mine up from a local private owner for $275 w/30rd. mag, cleaning kit and a case and it looked like it hadn't even been fired. they have the IZHMASH receiver and the plastic furniture is a real plus. takes the standard AK side scope mount, also.

the 308 or 30-06 might be more to your to your liking. they have a few variants in that chamber, though I'm not up on hi-cap mag availability for them. iirc, they only run about $75 more than the 7.62x39 from what I remember seeing on gunbroker.com about six months ago.

Gilberts has a 308 Sporter for a ballpark idea.
