With the dollar having so much trouble that even a supermodel shuns it, isn't it time for a push toward that single North American currency?

To the doom & gloomer conspiracy theorist, the weak dollar is just part of the plan to create the Amero.

But why isn't any action being taken to create the Amero? Nobody from the government is even hinting that a common currency would solve our problems.

Where is the Amero? Hell, where is the TALK of an Amero?

Seems rather obvious to me that if there really were a plan to create a common North American currency, the powers that be would be taking advantage of the current weakness of the US dollar to promote their agenda.

You asked who was even talking about it. Vincente Fox worked with Bush on the SPP agreements, and would certainly have had the opportunity to communicate with people in think tanks and lobby groups who have similar beliefs.

Why aren't any US officials taking advantage of the dollar's weakness to push for a common currency?

They've discovered that many of us think unkindly toward unified currencies. Now may not be the right time to push the greater North American Community in public. But there's no doubt that the SPP exists, and its language violates our sovereignty, and that greater unity and homogeneity of laws is the intent of its authors and contributors.

Fox isn't an American official. He's not even a Mexican official anymore.

I'm simply turning the tables on the conspiracy theory that a weak dollar is part of a "plan" to create the Amero.

If that were indeed the case, we would see some action or even some rhetoric now that the dollar is so weak.

But nothing is happening to advance the Amero.
