We need ideas and people who are willing to create a great Ron Paul advertisement that we all pay for and place in a New Hampshire newspaper, ASAP!
More info will follow as to how to make your donations to pay for the advertisement. If you are interested in helping with the actual creative work involved please contribute your ideas on this thread.
This will be a joint effort for anyone who wishes to be involved.
This thread will serve as the story board to create the advertisement.

Can you fit all the dashes in the phone number? 1-877-Ron-2008 BTW, I called the number to make sure I could reach from my area, it did go through but hit a recording. So I tried their 'regular' number 703-248-9115 , which went to the same recording. SO, I'm assuming that the recorder is on because it's a weekend. (It does give you an opportunity to leave a message if you like) THAT'S ALL CRITTER !!!! GOOD JOB!! Thank you !

RE: The ad imo, the most effective ads/ movements don't begin with a negative. hillery is a negative. Something like: "On January 8th, let us nominate the man who can restore our country to truth, principle and freedom." is better.
My personal feeling is that people don't read newspaper ads unless something grabs their attention. I think the Hillary reference does that. Once we have their attention, she is never mentioned again, only positives about RP. However, I am not an expert.
Critter, About the "calling the campaign" suggestion, is the national campaign really equiped to handle lots of incoming calls at that number? And, might the number for the Ron Paul Headquarters in New Hampshire be better, since that is probably where the actual on the ground campaign organizing in NH is taking place?

Help us nominate Ron Paul! Personally, I think this part is too busy. Perhaps simplify/streamline it? Maybe delete 'according to the polls'? (not really necessary?) Also, 'nominate' shouldn't be used twice in two sentences, imho. Using two colors, say, red and blue on the white background could improve it's appeal? I dunno, I might be wrong, but those are my thoughts. Otherwise, it still looks great!

The Hillary reference is genius. RP will take up residence in the average GOP Partybot's head with that hook. It's the only true thing about Paul that could possibly persuade a hidebound Republican party hack to do the right thing.

i agree. it grabs my attention and makes me think, yes, RP is the only republican who can beat hillary. i think that will resonate with GOP voters because that is their biggest fear.

Also, 'nominate' shouldn't be used twice in two sentences, imho. I disagree. "According to the polls" provides a foundation for and strengthens the claim. As for the parallel sentence structure of "Help us nominate", that makes emphatic that RP and the "only candidate who can defeat her, according to the polls" are, indeed, one and the same. So, I don't mind it. I also think the Freedom4um part stood out more when it was the only unbolded text. Maybe bolding Freedom4um.com only would be better (if you want it bolded). Finally, there is a capital "C" in the second "Freedom4um.Com".

We're dealing in black and white newsprint, right? I was operating under that assumption. I think color costs more. I could asterisk the claim, and put "*according to polls blah blah blah" at the bottom somewhere.

Not bad at all, and I'll pony up. But why does it have to start off like every other Republican ad? I get phone calls all the time from groups and candidates asking "Do you want Hillary to be president?" Of course the answer is no, but I always tell them that I think it's more important decide what you are for, and that any money I have is going to Paul, not them. I do understand it has to be acceptable to the paper, too. But I'm wondering how effective that opening really is anymore with the Republican base. Paul is not just another Republican, and for me the headline detracts from that.

One thing I heard this morning on the news, is that 60% of NH folks are 'undecided'. This ad is GUTSY. It puts the most important things in black and white. And, RP can back it up. NONE of the others speak for Americans first.
Paul is not just another Republican, and for me the headline detracts from that.

But are you a part of the Republican base? I think the Republican base is scared to death of Hillary. People like us who already know and believe in Ron Paul don't need to be sold. We have to sell it to the base. Since not many of us are part of the Republican "base", our opinion really doesn't matter, does it? What we have to do is figure out how to turn the opinion of those who do matter. I guess what I am saying is that we have to figure out the best way to reach the people who don't already believe in Ron Paul.
