We need ideas and people who are willing to create a great Ron Paul advertisement that we all pay for and place in a New Hampshire newspaper, ASAP!
More info will follow as to how to make your donations to pay for the advertisement. If you are interested in helping with the actual creative work involved please contribute your ideas on this thread.
This will be a joint effort for anyone who wishes to be involved.
This thread will serve as the story board to create the advertisement.

yeah, I see how you mean they're independent of each other, which is fine the way it is. I was just thinking that Ron's position on it is that you can't really accomplish one without the other, so they are interconnected. aren't they? also, Ron's main issue that any corrections in our inherent downslide have to start with foreign and monetary policy reform. true, both would be clarified in further reading of RP's platform pages, just wouldn't want to leave out his main point to the root cause of this country's problems.

I think Ron Paul speaks the truth, plain and simple and clear. So does the hillary ad. It is the truth, plain and clear and simple. If anyone other that RP is nominated, hillary will be the next president. I don't think it is a scare tactic. It is a truth tactic. It tells a truth that just happens to be scary. But I am not the decider. I am just giving my opinion. I'm with you. Either way, the decision rests elsewhere. Empire or Republic? If we keep going the direction we're heading, we're likely to get there.

I'm one of those folks that skips over things that look like too much trouble to read. I think that while busy, it is broken up into enough distinct parts to be easily digestible.
Angle, To me, it rests with those who provide this forum for us. It's been great fun to be a participant. Someone noted above in the thread, that in other forums, no doubt there would be a 5K post flame war. Not the case here. Pretty special.

Most things are "easy" to folks who know what they're doing. Like some people seem to be able to just "get it" with programs like Photoshop or Gimp (Linux equivalent/better) but I can't make heads nor tails of either of them. Guess photo manipulation on sophisticated software isn't up my alley.

From the 'HERE WE GO AGAIN' department: The Des Moines register will run a series of examinations into candidates' positions on the important issues of the day. They are choosing only 6 candidates from each party, and they chose to cover Tom Tancredo over Dr. Paul. Picking six on the Republican side was less clear-cut, but the deciding factor was time spent in Iowa. An example: At mid-week, Tom Tancredo had made 85 campaign stops in Iowa this year, five times as many as Ron Paul, who didn't make the cut. Tancredo trails only Mitt Romney and is about even with Mike Huckabee in number of stops. Deciding whom to support involves more than running down a checklist of issues, of course. Experience, vision and credibility will factor in, too. But we hope our examinations of the candidates' stands on these key issues will help you in making your selection of the right leader for this pivotal time. Maybe this ad needs to be placed in the Register, instead...

n/p. I used to get so much info from that channel. what a waste that Comcast killed it off after the merger with G4. all the video editing/creation progs for linux that I look into on SourceForge have a ton of bugs. know of any good ones?

All it takes is practice. I'm not a geek. In 1998 I didn't know what html was. I did a google on it. Tried a few minor things, then got a little fancier, and then fancier. Then I had to work with images. So I got a free download of Serif Photo Plus 6, and fiddled with that. Sure it was a pain to find my way, but eventually I did. Then I upgraded a few times, but never to the latest version. I always bought the sale copy of the previous version, so I have a grand total of $40 invested, I think. Serif has a support forum, so when I run into a brick wall trying to create an effect, I would post it there and get an answer in short order. I haven't used it in a while, but I bet it is still active.
Not that I know much about it but people who do know like Gimp (a LOT). I use Linux (pclinuxos 2007 final release, started out as a beta tester on .92). I like most of the programs in Linux, the ones I actually use, and find them as good or better than anything in Windows. I switched to Linux two or two and a half years ago, something like that anyway, and I don't miss Windows a bit.

Yes. It's been a while but that is what I did it with. I posted it one time on a linux board I used to post on and one of the moderators who hated me for reasons unknown removed it and claimed that it was a copyright violation. He was the only guy on that board that I ever had any real problems with, but then he didn't hate just me, he hated almost everyone. Had one of the worst attitudes you could imagine for a moderator. I don't post there anymore and haven't in a long time.

Thank you, you are too kind. It was no big deal and just did it through trial and error. I haven't fooled with it much since I did that one so there would probably be lots of trials to do it again.

That is why we need your help." should be "They scare us, which is why we need your help." 2) The line "We are asking that you vote..." should be "We ask that you vote..." (active is always better than passive) or "We urge you to vote..." (for more emphasis) 3) The line "...for the only candidate worthy of your trust, and who can beat Hillary Clinton in the general election, according to numerous public opinion polls" is clumsy because it does not clearly state that RP is the only candidate who can beat Hillary. How about "...for the only candidate worthy of your trust and able to beat Hillary Clinton in the general election, according to numerous public opinion polls."
