I just tried to purchase air tickets to Nadi, Fiji, then to Brisbane Australia to see my eighty three year old father, and as the agent for Air Pacific put it "you have been bitten by the crocodile". He ran my passport numbers in their system and it came up No Fly. It has to be the US State Department, because Australia knows nothing about me. The only thing I can think of is my political posting here at 4um. How they could get my identity is easy enough to see given the news of Yahoo and google . The Australian Embassy in Los Angles is closed today, but on Monday I hope to clear it up. Our society is closing around us daily. And They Hate Us Because Were Free.

remember that Ted Kennedy was put on the NO FLY list as well as another senator. can't recall who. i'm sure it's a snafu, but, you know, anything for safety. hehheh. btw, my husband has been designated PR=Possible Risk. possible risk for what?
I want to permamently leave the United States early next year. I want to test to see if I am on either a No Fly or a SLow Fly list by buying a domestic airline ticket before I purchase an overseas ticket. If I am on a No Fly List, then I will buy a cheap passenger ticket on a ship. I don't think they have a no swim list yet.

Are you prepared to find out for yourself the outrageous amount of personal information Homeland Security has been vacuuming-up on you? This is how to do it: No reason need be given for the request. Costs may be charged for photocopying or printing your dossier, but not for the search itself. 2. Sign and date them both. They do not have to be notarized. 3. Make and keep copies of the signed request and all correspondence. 4. Mail them by certified mail with a return receipt requested to the address found on the upper left-hand corner of each of the documents you downloaded. I was allowed to fly a few weeks ago when I flew to Kansas City & back. and I was relieved to be able to do it (with my posting history). have they let you fly within the US? It's horrible news Tom.

All I can say is that I have recently made several domestic flights with no trouble other than being selected for a full blown luggage inspection.

Seems to me that the new restrictions are basically to keep Americans in rather than keep bad people out of America. In Canada even if you have an old DUI you can not get in. We need to impose those same restrictions on Canadians attempting to get into our country. We have wide open borders allow muslims from terrorist nations in without adequate checks but yet it is getting more and more difficult for Americans to go to other countries. The Berlin wall or the China Wall come to mind.
That's not something I've had to begin to recognize. I have YET to ever ONCE have any cop do ANYTHING to "help, serve, OR protect" me. All they've ever "done for" me is cause yet another hassle. I'd rather milk a wild kicking cow than deal with the JBTs. At least then if I do get my ass kicked I can "lick my wounds" in the comfort of my own house... BUT, by the same token, I'm not gonna compromise my principles just to "avoid a confrontation" with them either.

Mao did not use The Great Wall to wall in the Chinese to any great extent to my knowledge. Mao preferred mass executions,re-education camps, tanks and guns to keep his peoples too terrified to run away. c. Actually what comes to my mind regarding what is happening in America today, is the clever Passportization scheme of the 1930's first successfully used by the NKVD to "wall in" citizens. In fact, Ukrainian Christians were branded and tagged through Passportization just prior to implementation of the Holomodor against them. It only took the NKVD 1 year to snuff 8-10 Million Ukies.
Hell, our sheriff is about as "decent" as they come. He leaves people alone, is VERY adamant about defending people's RIGHT to own guns, etc. By all accounts fits the description of "decent" better than any I've ever met. I had a stallion this past summer which I had to have put down. His leg was severely broken. When we first saw it, it was quite obvious that it had happened by gunshot. I had a VERY GOOD idea of WHO would have done it (they even left a "calling card" of sorts), AND this person had a "revenge motive". xxxxxx WORKED for the vet! Naturally, the vet's diagnosis was "it must have got on the road and hit by a car." Total bullshit!!! There was a big puddle of blood clearly showing where this happened! But the sheriff took the vet's diagnosis, and refused to even come check it out at all..... "Decent" doesn't equate with help, serve, or protect in my books...

I'm not defending it, but it is the reality. The only way around it would be to go to another Vet for an unbiased opinion. One small community I spent some time growing up in was dominated by the local Mining Company and the cops were pretty decent - as long as it did not involve THE company.
