Iran urges disarming nuclear states TEHRAN (Press TV) -- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on Thursday called on the NPT signatories to strive for the disarmament of atomic powers. Speaking at the International Conference on Iran's Nuclear Program, which kicked off here on Thursday, Saeed Jalili said, ""The Article 6 of the Non-Proliferation Treaty stresses the necessity of the disarmament of nuclear powers."" ""Islamic Republic of Iran insists on its absolute rights within the framework of NPT, and won't accept to be deprived of its nuclear rights,"" Jalili reiterated. ""Iran complied with additional protocol for two years voluntarily for trust-building measures and IAEA had more than 2300 man-hour inspections of our nuclear facilities,"" he maintained. Jalili asserted that IAEA Director General, Mohammad ElBaradei has officially announced in his reports that not even a single document is available to prove that Iran has deviated from the peaceful nuclear path. The security official added that as a member of the international community Iran has contributed to world security.

Well the Iranian folks have been through a lot. a hell of a lot actually, in the last twenty years, and the condition of their government is prolly not too good. But ours is not either, in my opinion. Yeh I may just wind up at Club Gitmo (Notice that Rush hasn't spent a few weeks there, tho he knows all about how nice it is) instead of Fiji.
