The Iraq Health Ministry says reported cases of cholera have risen in the capital Baghdad over the past weeks to more than 80.. 
A ministry official said Friday most instances of the disease were reported in impoverished areas that lack water and other necessary services.
Most of the incidences have been reported in the eastern part of Baghdad, especially in poor areas routinely deprived of water and other basic services, an official at the ministry said.
The official said that six governmental hospitals suffer from unsafe water supplies, including Yarmouk, one of Baghdad's chief hospitals.
Cholera, which is normally caused by consuming water or food containing the Vibrio cholerae bacterium, causes diarrhea and can swiftly kill its victims.

A rather cheap way to get rid of the lower classes, or useless eaters, or whatever the PTB has deemed the lower classes in Iraq to be. Oh yeah==collateral damage! I forgot.
How is it that the Iraqi people went from us saving them from an evil dictator.. people tossing flowers and candy to this?
but bush says if he was an iraqi, he'd be saying "god I love freedom!" I think the closest he's come to telling the truth was when he said we were kicking ass in iraq. he just didn't say whose.
