Good-Bye to All That America's Days of Reckoning By PAUL CRAIG ROBERTS Pat Buchanan is too patriotic to come right out and say it, but the message of his new book, Day of Reckoning, is that America as we have known her is finished. Moreover, Naomi Wolf agrees with him. These two writers of different political persuasions arrive at America's demise from different directions. Buchanan explains how hubris, ideology, and greed have torn America apart. A neoconservative cabal with an alien agenda captured the Bush administration and committed American blood, energy, and money to aggression against Muslim countries in the Middle East, while permitting America's domestic borders to be overrun by immigrants and exporting the jobs that had made the US an opportunity society. War and offshoring have taken a savage economic toll while open borders and diversity have created social and political division. In her new book, End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, Wolf explains America's demise in terms of the erosion of freedoms. She writes that the ten classic steps that are used to close open societies are currently being taken in the US. Martial law is only a declaration away. The Bush administration responded to September 11 by initiating military aggression in the Middle East and by using fear and the "war on terror" to implement police state measures at home with legislation, presidential directives, and executive orders Overnight the US became a tyranny in which people could be arrested and incarcerated on the basis of unsubstantiated accusation. Both US citizens and non-citizens were denied habeas corpus, due process, and access to attorneys and courts. Congress gave Bush legislation establishing military tribunals, the procedures of which permit people to be condemned to death on the basis of secret evidence, hearsay, and confessions extracted by torture. Nothing of the like has ever been seen before in the US. The cancer might have metastasized if the Guantanamo detainees had actually been the dangerous terrorists and enemy combatants that the Bush regime declared them to be. Had the administration actually possessed evidence against the detainees, the Bush regime might have succeeded in dispensing with the Constitution. Conviction of the detainees could have led to what Wolf calls a "fascist expansion." Following the exercise of its new powers, the regime could have broadened the definition of terrorist to include the regime's critics, thus pulling citizens in general into tribunals devoid of civil liberty protections. It could still turn out this way in the event of another 9/11 attack, whether real or orchestrated. But momentarily the drive toward tyranny has been blunted, because the vast majority of detainees turned out to be hapless individuals sold into American captivity by warlords responding to the bounty the US paid for "terrorists." Any unprotected individual was vulnerable to being captured by Afghan and Pakistani warlords and sold as a "terrorist." The Americans needed to show results, and the Bush regime needed "terrorists" in order to feed the fear its propaganda had generated. In Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany, the absence of evidence would not have mattered as the judicial system produced the results demanded by the tyrants. However, the US military had not been sufficiently corrupted for the Bush regime's Guantanamo agenda to succeed. Honorable officers, such as Lt. Col. Stephen Abraham, were able to discern that the US government had no information on the detainees and used interrogations in order to rubber stamp the a priori determination that a detainee was a terrorist or enemy combatant. Military officers made these revelations known to real courts before the tribunal process could establish itself. CounterPunch writer Andy Worthington's recently published book, The Guantanamo Files: The Stories of the 759 Detainees in America's Illegal Prison, proves that the regime's claim that it had hundreds of dangerous terrorists at Guantanamo was just another Bush administration lie. Currently, support for Bush, Cheney, and the neoconservative agenda is low. However, Congress, the press, and elections have proven to be feeble opponents of the Bush regime's drive toward war and tyranny. It remains to be seen whether the regime has sufficient credibility or audacity to initiate war with Iran or a false flag attack that would revive the fascist expansion of which Naomi Wolf warns. The Bush administration has been a catastrophe. Its failures are unprecedented. Energy prices are at all time highs. The US is deeply in debt and dependent on foreign creditors. The dollar has lost 60 per cent of its value against other tradable currencies, and its reserve currency status, the basis of American power, is in doubt. The US has lost millions of middle class jobs which have been replaced with low paid domestic service jobs. Except for the very rich, Americans have experienced no gains in real income in the 21st century. As the ladders of upward mobility are dismantled and the middle class struggles and fails, America is left with a few rich and many poor. America's reputation and credibility are damaged perhaps beyond repair. Congress and the press have enabled the executive branch's disregard of the Constitution and civil liberty. The US is mired in two lost wars which are pushing Lebanon and nuclear-armed Pakistan into deepening political crises. As Buchanan concludes, "Our day of reckoning is at hand." I think it's merger with Mexico now. I don't think Canada wants to merge with millions of third worlders from Mexico and the United States. South America will soon extend all the way to North Dakota and Canada will close it's Southern border.

In fact this continues the tale [parable] of the battle of the two eagles, which I feel STRONGLY is directed at the "end-time" church in America. Up until now I have quoted Ezekiel 17:1-10/John 15:1/Matthew 15:13 as a brief explanation of what's happening in America, the first eagle being God/Jesus Christ [Exodus 19:4/John 14:2-3], the second eagle being the Judeo-Masonic-Jesuit-Apostate CorpUSA. Here is the concoction. Mix them together with a few half baked facts and what do you get? Witches brew! And the purpose of the potion is to put the people to sleep so that they will believe a lie. The following article is a classic example of witches brew. The writer for the Dallas Observer, who calls himself Carlton Stowers, is an expert at "yellow journalism." Instead of giving the reader the facts, the writer sensationally distorts an ordinary event. First of all, in this case, there is no event! The story on its own merits would NOT make the HEADLINES. Who wants to read about a disgruntled man who cannot make it with his wife? He openly violates the miracle of God where one man and one woman are joined together into one flesh. He seeks out the secular courts to divide what God has put together. Then he endangers the life of the children by making them political pawns for his hard heart. Second, the writer makes a lot of pot-shots at the Embassy of Heaven Church. He referrers to the Church as a "cult" and implies there is a link with the "militia." Without going into any detail, he basically paints an ugly story about a people he has never met, nor talked to. What is really sad, is that he took the lazy way out. He found and used material in the archives where other writers have also made cheap-shots at the Embassy of Heaven Church over the past. If this writer wanted to make a pretense of really being interested in what the Church teaches, he would have contacted the Church leaders. This he did not do! Then what is this writer up to? There is no event. His writings are from other writers. The facts presented are not true. What else can he be doing? There must be a hidden agenda. What is the hidden agenda? Carlton Stowers is not working alone. He is part of a large network. The agenda is over POWER. The Embassy of Heaven Church is under attack because it claims to have the POWER from Jesus Christ. It does everything in His Name. On the other side, the states claim they have the POWER from the people. Everything they do is in the name of the state (the people). The state denies the POWER of the Church. And The Church denies the POWER of the state. The agenda is simply this. John Joe Gray claims the POWER of Jesus Christ and his permission to act comes from His Church. ****The state on the other hand cannot tolerate anyone acting outside of secular POWER. Therefore, the state must stop a single man from exercising the POWER of Jesus Christ, lest a whole nation (state) perish. As it was yesterday, so it is today. ["Here comes the heir. ..let's kill him and seize upon his inheritance."] What is happening right now is the death cult (state) is on the move. Carlton Stowers, a writer for the Dallas Observer, is preparing the way to execute (murder) John Joe Gray, his family and friends. Carlton has prepared a potion of witches brew to be consumed by the public at large. They will all be put to sleep. The public will stand by and witness a mass murder of innocent men, women and children. And they will not even realize what happened. For those of you who are still awake, and recognize the characteristics of a beast on the move, get your cameras ready for the real event. It is coming again shortly. Among the beliefs of the separatist group--which the Southern Poverty Law Center, a watchdog of extremist groups, estimates has 300 to 400 members nationwide--is that the secular government is in direct competition with God. It refuses to acknowledge the government's authority to tax and believes things such as drivers' licenses, Social Security numbers, fingerprinting, automobile registrations, and license plates are all "marks of the beast" as described in the Book of Revelation. Members are issued a "heavenly passport" on the day of their baptism into the faith and are deemed "missionaries traveling under the authority of Jesus Christ." The church's muddled doctrine suggests that each individual member is a "church" and therefore not required to adhere to government laws and regulations. [Note: is that not true? Know ye not that YE are the TEMPLE OF GOD?? ] The Embassy of Heaven also claims authority to issue such documents as drivers' licenses, birth certificates, and business licenses. John Joe Gray and his family have apparently bought into the doctrine on a grand scale. In 1998, another of Gray's daughters, 26-year-old Racheal, was stopped while driving in nearby Tool when a patrol officer noticed her car had only an Embassy of Heaven license plate. The woman also was driving without insurance, but did present a Heaven-issued driver's license and vehicle registration. Her mother, Alicia Gray, later explained that her daughter was not a part of any earthly "system," therefore not subject to state or federal law. After fasting and refusing to post bond, Racheal Gray was released a few days later when fed-up officials dropped charges against her. The Grays, then, were looked upon as little more than local oddities until Christmas Eve 1999. On that day, Texas state troopers stopped a speeding vehicle near Palestine and ordered two men out of their car. The driver followed orders and immediately handed over a pistol he was carrying in his pocket. On the passenger side, John Joe Gray, wearing a gun in a shoulder holster, refused. When finally the officers forcibly removed him from the car, the 5-foot-9-inch, 160-pound Gray began to fight, grabbing at one trooper's weapon, then, during the course of the struggle, bit deeply into the officer's wrist. Inside the car was a cache of firearms, ranging from high-powered handguns to assault rifles. Ultimately indicted by an Anderson County grand jury, Gray was freed on bond pending an arraignment hearing and since has remained in hiding, sending out threats of violence against anyone who might trespass on his property. Today, in fact, none of those sequestered on the Gray property venture beyond the padlocked gate. They survive without electricity and, to the best of Tarkington's knowledge, subsist on food that was stored away last year in anticipation of the predicted disasters the year 2000 was to bring. There are, he says, at least 10 adults and six children (under the age of 6)--all members of Gray's family--living in two houses that sit on the property. It is possible, he says, that others supportive of Gray's philosophy have taken up residence. Joe Tarkington Bunkers have been dug on the property, reinforced by sandbags, Tarkington says. Tarkington has taken his pleas for help to the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, the Texas Rangers, FBI, even Child Protective Services, yet has seen no sign of progress on an "investigation" he is assured is under way. The sheriff, yet to serve the arrest warrant on Gray, tells him to be patient. The Rangers say they're doing everything they can. FBI officials admit they are aware of John Joe Gray's history but unless there is a federal warrant to be issued it has no cause to be involved. Child Protective Service officials tell Tarkington he must bring them proof that his children are being abused before they can take action. Even the Tyler-based bonding company liable for the $300,000 bail that Gray forfeited by not making his court appearance refuses to enter the padlocked entryway to what several local residents are now referring to as "the compound."....." Churches do not HAVE to register, ACCORDING TO THE IRS, because that would put them under the jurisdiction of government and not under the jurisdiction of God.
