Saturday I spent hours of my life at the El Paso County Colorado's Republican Central Committee.

I am a division leader. So I am supposed to be in contact with about 1300 republicans, and six precienct divisions.

If Stalin was alive he would have heartly approved of the substance of this meeting.

We, about a hundred or so, were exposed to candidates for the senate. The speachs were nothing but mindless slogans, utterly devoid of intelligence of any sort save one congressional candidate who mentioned a few items that might be of substantive. The rest of the missives were as empty of meaning as a box of Lucky Charms.

The word "IRAQ" never was uttered from the mouths of the speakers!!!!.Not Once EVER. War was never uttered from the mouth of the speakers.

Folks to to say once more - the central issue of our nation life and times was totally ignored.

So I guess the war in Iraq dosn't exist, at least to the Republican Party Of El Paso County.

When (I was so surprised and pleased, a Ron Paul spokesman appeared) I clapped heartly, as a few others did I was later accosted, in a quite civil manner, by an ex air force guy. We had a pretty good conversation. But his first words were how could I support RP as an isolationist. I replied I didn't think he was an isolationist, and the conversation went from there.

So commend me for going into the belly of the beast and spreading our voice as marginalized as it is into the Leviathan.

The term "isolationist" became a dirty word when such people as Lindbergh spoke against American intervention in yet another foreign war.

By the standards of your AF friend, George Washington would be a isolationist, not bad company for Ron Paul.

You're seriously expecting Republicans to listen to sense? And you work for them?

You're kidding, right?

dude, lucky charms are made of whole grain and contain 12 essential vitamins and minerals. I think you owe them an apology for comparing them to senatorial candidates.

You're seriously expecting Republicans to listen to sense? And you work for them?

Some might, from what I saw at th3e convention I don't hold up much hope.

"And you work for them?"

Mekons, I struggle with this one. In the convention I was largely disgusted by the Support our troops crappola that drew howls of agremeement.

Who the heck dosn't support our troops???

I have two nephews damaged - one for life seriously by Iraq.

I take your accusation "And you work for them?" understandably.

And I have problems with it myself.

The RP in the city I live in is dominating.

If you are a democratic (they have their problems, remember) you are doomed.

So I have chose the best way I can see to impact the county politics and that was to join the republican Party and do a lot of hard work to become almost an infiltrator into the stinkin system.

Well yes I will do a lot of work for them, and I will mainly keep my mouth shout in the process, but bit by bit I will let my thoughts be known.

About one third of the republicans I saw at the convention are just certifiable.

They cannot walk or talk and would voter for Fred Flintsone for Pres.

I am trying to deal with the situation as it is .

Some support may help/

The GOP ignore the Iraq War and illegal immigration at their peril. The ball is in the GOP court. If they choose to pass, the Dems will win by default. The GOP started the Iraq War. The GOP have allowed illegals to double in the past 7 years that monkeyface has been in office yammering about guest worker plans and encouraging more illegals to jump the border. The Dems could take both the WH and Congress if the GOP Congress does not jump the good ship dubya and lead a charge against his reign of gross stupidity.

The Republican Party Leadership has shit all over the conservative Republican base ever since "w" was coronated prior to the election of 2000. No group in my memory has been ignored to the same degree without revolting or seeking other avenues to promote their values.

Looking at the media approved Candidates on both sides of the political coin makes perfect sense of the expression "heads I win, tails you lose". I am sad to report that I have never witnessed such a sorry collection of boot-licking, shit eating, double-talking scum in my 57 years.

I am not a voter, while I am a Ron Paul supporter both financially and publicly. The Constitutional operation of our government and economy is the only honest method of fair governance in the U.S. if and when it is adhered to because it limits the power of political biases. It's an enemy to agenda driven politics of every type and that's what makes it imperative. "CHOICE" is what the Constitution and Bill of Rights provide for the citizen, LIMITS are provided that restrain government, and the scum attracted to politics for personal reasons like power and greed.

We have so ignored or destroyed the Constitutional operation of government and instead have engineered a socialist welfare state that has become so well rooted that we may never be able to regain our collective independence. Ron Paul is "YOUR" last great hope not mine, even though I support him for your sakes (people remaining federal citizens). I determined the government to be conquered and possessed by demons long ago, forcing me to renounce federal citizenship and all of its "BENEFITS".

It would be preferable however to have a Constitutional adherent in the White House, as opposed to the liars making up the candidates of both parties with the exception of Ron Paul.

Thanks Robin. A root canal type of experience.

To display the arrogance of the party, they had their selected candidate for congress make a three minute slogan speach, I knew nothing about him on any meaningful issue except that he loved his mother and supported the troops etc, then they passed the hat for the guy, got an average of two dollars a head for him, and then we were berated by the party leaders for being so stingy.

The assumption was blind ignorant faith in the selections of the leadership, no questions asked.
