Saturday I spent hours of my life at the El Paso County Colorado's Republican Central Committee.

I am a division leader. So I am supposed to be in contact with about 1300 republicans, and six precienct divisions.

If Stalin was alive he would have heartly approved of the substance of this meeting.

We, about a hundred or so, were exposed to candidates for the senate. The speachs were nothing but mindless slogans, utterly devoid of intelligence of any sort save one congressional candidate who mentioned a few items that might be of substantive. The rest of the missives were as empty of meaning as a box of Lucky Charms.

The word "IRAQ" never was uttered from the mouths of the speakers!!!!.Not Once EVER. War was never uttered from the mouth of the speakers.

Folks to to say once more - the central issue of our nation life and times was totally ignored.

So I guess the war in Iraq dosn't exist, at least to the Republican Party Of El Paso County.

When (I was so surprised and pleased, a Ron Paul spokesman appeared) I clapped heartly, as a few others did I was later accosted, in a quite civil manner, by an ex air force guy. We had a pretty good conversation. But his first words were how could I support RP as an isolationist. I replied I didn't think he was an isolationist, and the conversation went from there.

So commend me for going into the belly of the beast and spreading our voice as marginalized as it is into the Leviathan.

You're seriously expecting Republicans to listen to sense? And you work for them?

You're kidding, right?

You're seriously expecting Republicans to listen to sense? And you work for them?

Some might, from what I saw at th3e convention I don't hold up much hope.

"And you work for them?"

Mekons, I struggle with this one. In the convention I was largely disgusted by the Support our troops crappola that drew howls of agremeement.

Who the heck dosn't support our troops???

I have two nephews damaged - one for life seriously by Iraq.

I take your accusation "And you work for them?" understandably.

And I have problems with it myself.

The RP in the city I live in is dominating.

If you are a democratic (they have their problems, remember) you are doomed.

So I have chose the best way I can see to impact the county politics and that was to join the republican Party and do a lot of hard work to become almost an infiltrator into the stinkin system.

Well yes I will do a lot of work for them, and I will mainly keep my mouth shout in the process, but bit by bit I will let my thoughts be known.

About one third of the republicans I saw at the convention are just certifiable.

They cannot walk or talk and would voter for Fred Flintsone for Pres.

I am trying to deal with the situation as it is .

Some support may help/
