Thanks to those here for your time and interest in creating our ad (a special thanks to Critter) for the Manchester Union Leader. Pending agreement with the paper, our plan is to run it on Sunday, January 6th , two days before the New Hampshire primary.

We have two choices. The 4 x 6 Black and White for $1100 and 4 x 6 Color for $1864. Our preference, of course, is the eye catching color!

Several 4um members have pledged financial support and now we need to hear from others who enjoy posting here on a regular basis. I believe that the presidency of Ron Paul is our last chance to Restore our Republic and to save our country.

I would appreciate it so much if we at Freedom4um could do our part in making this happen. You may PM me with your pledges and with complete confidentiality. (1 image)

the 2nd vid is even more powerful than the first. Outstanding. The moderator gets a little flustery, hehehehe, but, Dr. Paul delivers the unwelcome truth.

People mentioned as potential cabinet appointees in the first video (URL's mentioned: politicalchowder.com and propagandaus.blogspot.com.)

Ron Paul mentions that he would like to appoint people who aren't "from the Hill." He just gets better and better the more you know him.

I'll pm anyone pledging $50 or more a really goofy photo of myself, unless it's one of the two people here I really, really hate. That's right...the ones that have me bozoed.

Cause I've got a horse, out in the country and all, seems unfair to stifle dissent.

Not to bash the ad but i didnt like the 'SCARE' deal either. most probably because i have heard identical sentiment from numerous people who support rudy since 'we can't have hillary'. when i ask them why they'd support an abortionist gun-grabbing crossdresser when theyre purportedly conservatives, they say 'BUT WE CANT HAVE HILLARY NOW THAT IS A SCARY THOUGHT!'.

whenever i see a 'NO HILLARY' sticker here it usually accompanies a 'support our troops' yellow ribbon or a dubya sticker.

so, while you're right that the hillary fear factor may sell, i think that that aspect may be largely irrelevant when the race we're in is among only REPUBS. maybe something like , 'who really represents traditional conservatism, and has the record to prove it?' Paul quashes all the other posers. so something along those lines would work.

Great idea for the ad, maybe i can price some such ads here in local papers.

I agree with you.

If a large group of people formed a corporation purposed to produce and market automobiles (like GM), could they then hire gunmen as salespersons to increase their sales? Well that's exactly what governments do.

I wasn't familiar with her show, and wouldv'e never known her political leaning if she hadn't stated it. It was really a great interview. I was impressed with her professionalism that you won't find at the approved media carnivale.

after all, he did finish second in a recent democratic straw poll.

I HAD NOT HEARD THAT! That is fantastic! One to share with the hard core partisans in the address book.

Thanks HammerTime ;)

If I send $100 do I get 2 goofy photos?

How about 25 goofy photos for $1000?

And don't worry, I've got everybody bozoed EXCEPT you, including myself.

Will you send naked goofy photos to the hard-core Republicans?

If I send you a SASE wil you send me a copy of the terms and conditions?

Ron Paul admires Friedman (Milton Friedman 1912-2006 by Ron Paul). I think at one level, we have people who think in partisan terms, lumping people together with their ideas. At a higher level, there are only ideas.

Ideas are different from actions. Ron Paul's notions of free markets are probably not very different from Milton Friedman's. But I doubt that Ron Paul would have cozied up to a dictator who had been installed with the help of American intervention.

I think we have to decide if we like Ron Paul's ideas about free markets. Have they guided him in the right direction during his life? Has he lived up to his stated ideals, or has he at least done a good job of trying?

RP has discussed his positions on Trade. Free Trade. He said, he supported some agreements, and others he did not. He does not support trade where there is no mutal benefit to such agreements. Meaning, if America loses, he does not support it. In the interview I saw, he gave more specifics as to which he did not support.

He believes in Trade, but ONLY where there is mutual benefit.

Seems he might be the only one that truly looks at when it is good for us and when it is not.

I don't think he intends to impose any serious trade restrictions. He didn't oppose the Dubai ports deal. He doesn't oppose MFN status for China. He says that NAFTA/CAFTA are wrong because they are "managed" trade, not because they allow free (unfettered) trade.

Ron Paul won't be saving the middle class with "fair" trade. He would work to save the middle class by opening up competition to our fiat currency. That could do more to help than imposing arbitrary fair trade standards.

It remains to be seen.

True it does.

Managed trade, meaning to me anyway, that there is no mutual benefit.

RP himself says that the trade agreements are to be examined one by one. They are complicated, and I believe they are because of all the hands in the pot. So, do we really know the actual above and below board deals for each of these agreements. I suspect he'd rip them apart, but then, we'll never know if he is not elected.

We should read his positions and go from there. I wonder if there is any YT vid out there that gets into this issue in depth.
