You do know, of course, that none of this is true. Right? Just for starters, there's no multimedia presentation at ChristKindlMart. I live in Chicago. It's just an outdoor mart with German-oriented Christmas stuff and good food. Celebrate your holiday and shut up. No one is trying to end Xmas.
The Anglo-Protestants who founded this country frowned on Christmas - pretty much ignoring it until we saw an influx of Germans in the late 1800s which coincided with the consumerist revolution and the invention of the department store. Boston Puritans would even fine you if you were caught celebrating Christmas once. Up until the 80s so called right wing Conservative Christian groups attacked Christmas - especially the trappings of the holiday like the Christmas tree and Santa Clause. Now these groups have done a 180 turn and are defending the superficial aspects of the holiday? The Conservative movement is a joke - a product of a failed ideology.

Now these groups have done a 180 turn and are defending the superficial aspects of the holiday? I'm glad that we had Germans (and later southern and eastern Europeans) to bring some good European (thinly disguised) pagan holidays into dry and dusty Puritan America. I think that we'd all die of boredom otherwise, listening to some dull sermon about Hebrew prophets with unpronounceable names instead of having some good Christmas cheer. I hate mass consumerism as much as the next guy, but the thought of living among Bibliolaters yelling "pagan" or "heretic" at fine old world traditions would be even worse.
