COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The deadly shooting sprees at a megachurch and a missionary training school were believed to have been carried out by the same person — a 24-year-old suburban Denver man who "hated Christians," a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation, identified the gunman as Matthew Murray, the son of a neurologist who is a prominent researcher on multiple sclerosis.

Five people — including a gunman — were killed, and five others wounded Sunday in the two eruptions of violence 12 hours and 65 miles apart.

The first attack took place at a youth missionary training center in the Denver suburb of Arvata; the other happened at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, where the gunman was shot and killed by a security guard.

The law enforcement official said Murray was believed to be the gunman in both attacks. Murray did not appear to have a criminal history but "hated Christians," the official said. The official did not know Murray's religion, if any.

"Violent crimes of any sort are tragic enough, but when innocent people are killed in a religious facility or a place of worship, we must voice a collective sense of outrage and demonstrate a renewed commitment to keeping our communities safe," said Gov. Bill Ritter.

Early today, authorities searched a home in Englewood, about 15 miles south of Denver, that they said could be related to the Colorado Springs shooting. Authorities were seen coming and going from the home, and at one point searched bushes.

The violence began about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when a man opened fire at the Youth With a Mission office after he had been denied a request to spend the night there. Witnesses told police that the gunman was a 20-year-old white male, wearing a dark jacket and a cap, who had a handgun.

More than 12 hours later, at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, a gunman with a high-powered rifle entered the church's main foyer and opened fire, Colorado Springs Police Chief Richard Myers said.

Sisters Stephanie Works, 18, and Rachael Works, 16, were killed, police said. Their father, David Works, 51, was in fair condition with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and groin area.

"Our hearts are grieving this morning for them," said Brady Boyd, senior pastor at New Life Church, during a morning news conference.

Also injured were Judy Purcell, 40, who suffered a gunshot wound to her right shoulder, and Larry Bourbannais, 59, who had a gunshot wound in his left forearm, police said. Both were treated and released.

The gunman was killed by a member of the church's armed security staff before police arrived, Myers said. The gunman's name was not released. Officers found several smoke-generating devices on the church campus; their intended purpose wasn't clear.

Boyd said the security guard rushed the attacker, who didn't get more than 6 feet inside the building, and "took him down in the hallway."

"She probably saved 100 lives," Boyd said of the guard. The gunman, he added, "had a lot of ammunition to do a lot of damage."

Jessie Gingrich, who had left New Life and was in the parking lot getting into her car, saw the gunman get a rifle from his trunk and open fire on a van with people inside. She cowered in her vehicle, fumbling with the ignition key.

"I was just expecting for the next gunshot to be coming through my car. Miraculously — by the grace of God — it did not," she told ABC's "Good Morning America" today.

About 7,000 people were on the church campus at the time of the shooting, said Senior Pastor Brady Boyd. Security had been beefed up after the shootings hours earlier in Arvada, he said.

Ashley Gibbs was getting into a car with David Harris when they heard the gunshots — a sound like someone kicking ice from the side of a car, she said. Harris said he saw the gunman, and it looked like he knew how to handle a weapon.

"I was in the military for about three years, and the way he was holding the rifle looked just like the way we were taught to when I was in the military," he told NBC's "Today" show today.

They stayed in the vehicle and prayed for the gunman.

"It was obvious that he was in some sort of pain and going through a lot," Gibbs told "Today." "I just prayed God would bring him peace."

New Life, with about 10,000 members, was founded by the Rev. Ted Haggard, who was dismissed last year after a former male prostitute alleged he had a three-year cash-for-sex relationship with him. Haggard, then the president of the National Association of Evangelicals, admitted committing undisclosed "sexual immorality."

The two dead victims at the missionary center were identified as Tiffany Johnson, 26, and Philip Crouse, 24.

Johnson, who grew up in Chisholm, Minn., loved working with children and wanted to see the world, said family friend Carla Macynski.

"Tiffany was a well-liked, easygoing 26-year-old. She was friendly, adventurous and a definite leader. She wanted to see the world," Macynski said as she choked back tears. Johnson had traveled to Egypt, Libya and South Africa with the missionary group.

Crouse, of Alaska, had helped build a foster home at a Crow reservation in Montana, said Ronny Morris, who works with a Denver chapter of the mission.

Staffer Dan Griebenow, 24, of South Dakota, was shot in the neck, according to Youth With a Mission. Staffer Charlie Blanch, 22, suffered gunshot wounds to his legs, according to ministry officials. His hometown wasn't immediately known.

Youth With a Mission was started in 1960 and now has 1,100 locations with 16,000 full-time staff, Smith said. The Arvada center was founded in 1984.

Darv Smith, director of a Youth With a Mission center in Boulder, said people ranging from their late teens to their 70s undergo a 12-week course that prepares them to be missionaries. He said the center trains about 300 people a year.

Paul Filidis, a Colorado Springs-based spokesman with Youth With a Mission, said staffers are usually former missionaries themselves and that the "mercy ministries" performed by trainees include orphanage work.

The Colorado shootings came only days after a 19-year-old gunman opened fire at a popular mall in Omaha, Neb., killing eight people and himself.

Just was talking to a reliable source here in C Springs.

He said the killer was dressed in a all black Ninja outfit with body armor and had a bunch of thirty round clips (500 rounds total) and a SKS or AK style weapon.

I don't think the security lady who killed him is likely to be brought up on charges by the DA.

that security lady is quite a hero. Must've been very dramatic.

It seems to me that when the Columbine events occurred that the police said they couldn't approach a killer and challenge him. But this lady did it. those police who backed off at Columbine are cowards.

Actually the gunman, Matthew Murray, is a Christian himself - self-loathing in the extreme? He and his younger brother were home schooled and family was known to be very religious. Matthew's younger brother attends Oral Roberts University. His father is a prominent neurologist specializing in Multiple Sclerosis research. Very sad situation all way round.

yesterday a "cap"....the night before it was a scullcap and possibly a beard

judicial-inc has the scoop.... warning: very bloody and sad picture at the site:

Massacre At Colorado Christian School

Second Christian Church Under Siege

Shooters Hit Two Churches Near Denver

The second church was involved in a major dispute with Zionists over the 2006 Lebanon invasion. Israel demanded Rev Haggard to approve, and cover, the brutality of gun ships spraying refugee convoys, bombing orphanages, etc., but the Reverend defied the Israelis. Haggard was quickly set up in a prostitute, and drug sting.

This is very similar to the Alabama Church burnings, where young Zionists burned down nine churches.

[ judicial-inc.biz/church_fires_in_alabama.htm . This link: judicial-inc.biz/church_f...laims%20to%20be%20Baptist includes Jewish surnames...Murray being one. One of the church burners who claimed to be a Christian, later said there are some Christians who are not really Christian: Matthew Lee Cloyd wrote on February 4, 2006, Let us defy the very morals of society instilled upon us by our parents, our relatives, and of course Jesus! Cloyd also wrote in January 2006, It is time to reconvene the season of evil.....In addition, here how a friend described Russell Lee DeBusk's occult interests: He thought he'd found something that worked for him. It's not worshipping the devil. It's nothing ritualistic.... It's about the pursuit of knowledge. (see CHABAD: "wisdom, knowledge, and understanding".... http://www.watch.pair.com/law.html ).... He explained that there can be Satanic Christians. www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=4360 .....see B'Nai B'rith speech: "...We have induced some of our children to join the Christian Body, with the explicit intimation that they should work in a still more efficient way for the disintegration of the Christian Church, by creating scandals within her. We have thus followed the advice of our Prince of the Jews, who so wisely said: 'Let some of your children become cannons, so that they may destroy the Church.'....." http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/luther.htm ]

ARVADA, Colo. -- A gunman walked into a training center dormitory for young Christian missionaries early Sunday and opened fire, killing two of the center's staff members and wounding two others.

No arrests had been made by late morning.

New Life Church Under Siege

Two gunman, snipers, have shot at least four people. Police also found at least one bomb.

The victims are children. A security guard for the church shot him in the chest, but the massive amount of ammo he was carrying protected him. He continued to grab a grenade, that's when the security guard shot him again killing him.

Two Dead, Two Wounded

A man and a woman in their mid-20s died, and two men ages 22 and 23 were wounded, Medina said. One of the injured men was in critical condition, said Paul Filidis, a Colorado Springs-based spokesman with Youth With a Mission.

All four of the victims were staff members, Filidis said.

Shooting Started In Parking Lot

Jessie Gingrich was in the parking lot getting into her car when she saw the gunman get a rifle from his trunk and open fire on a van full of people.

Shelia Boyd Stopped The Gunman

'The gunman charged the building and a female security guard engaged in a gun battle, and killed him.

"He had enough ammunition on him to cause a lot of damage," Boyd said. The security guard was a woman in plain clothes who volunteers with the church and uses her own personal weapon, Boyd said. She has a law enforcement background and is licensed to carry a weapon. She attends one of the morning services and then volunteers as a guard during another service, he said.

Boyd said she was the one who suggested the church beef up its security Sunday following the Arvada shooting, which it did. The pastor credited the security plan and the extra security for preventing further bloodshed.

Boyd said the church "looked like a war zone" and that about 40 shots were fired in all. He called it a "senseless random attack."

The Suspect

Witnesses told police that the gunman was a 20-year-old white male, wearing a dark jacket and skull cap. He may have glasses or a beard.

Police

The police are being very politically correct. Logically you would search any local synagogues, but the cops are staying mum.

Abe Foxman

It appears that Abe Foxman, head of the ADL, has no comment.

Shooter's Father

The killer is 24-year-old Matthew J. Murray. Murray's father, Dr. Ronald Murray, is well-known neurologist with a practice in Lone Tree.

The Ted Haggard Connection

Presbyterian threats

Episcopalians fear for attack

The Jewish Media, of course, is trying to palm this off as Christian against Christian. Is anyone asking where he got all his military hardware? Perhaps Abe Foxman and his Law Enforcement trainers know.

=======================================

JEWISH SHARIA IN UNITED STATES

Maimonides further decreed that any non-Jewish nation "not subject to our jurisdiction" (tahaht yadeinu) will be the target of Jewish holy war. ...

"....Under the Talmud's counterfeit Noahide Laws, the worship of Jesus is forbidden under penalty of death, since such worship of Christ is condemned by Judaism as idolatry. Meanwhile various forms of incest are permitted under the Talmudic understanding of the Noahide code. (Enziklopediya Talmudit, note 1, pp. 351-352).

Furthermore, all non-Jews would have the legal status of ger toshav ("resident alien," cf. Alan Unterman, Dictionary of Jewish Lore and Legend [London: Thames and Hudson, 1991], p. 148), even in their own land; as for example in occupied Palestine where newly arrived Khazars from Russia have an automatic right to housing and citizenship, while two million Palestinian refugees who either fled or were expelled by the Israelis, are forbidden the right of return.

Resident alien status has been clearly delineated in scholarly articles in leading Jewish publications. For example, Hebrew University Professor Mordechai Nisan, basing his exposition on Maimonides, stated that a non-Jew permitted to reside in a land ruled by Jewish law "must accept paying a tax and suffering the humiliation of servitude."

If Gentiles refuse to live a life of inferiority, then this signals their rebellion and the unavoidable necessity of Jewish warfare against their very presence. [Cf. Mordechai Nisan, Kivunim (official publication of the World Zionist Organization), August, 1984, pp. 151-156].

At a symposium ("Is Autonomy for Resident Aliens Feasible?") organized by Israeli Minister of Education Shulamit Aloni, the Israeli Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren repeated the Talmudic teaching on resident aliens: that Judaism forbids "granting any national rights" to them. He ruled that such "Autonomy is tantamount to a denial of the Jewish religion." (Nadav Shraggai, Ha'aretz, Oct. 14, 1992). ......"

=====================================

"Because in no case does the goy have inherent rights in the Halacha when confronting a Jew. He obtains rights only by his power, particularly his threats. The greater the threat of the goy to the lives of Jews, the more recognition of his rights by the Halacha."

"If the Arabs will not have chemical weapons, if their armies weaken and the intifada ends -- not only will it be Halachically forbidden to withdraw, it may be possible to begin expelling the goyim, particularly the Christians, whose churches must also be destroyed. If a miracle occurs and all the Palestinians and the Arab countries accept Mubarak Awad's non-violent approach, if our power in the US grows a thousandfold -- it will be permitted according to Halacha to expel the goyim not only from the Land of Israel, but from "any place we conquer", according to Rabbi Yosef."
