I'm thinking more about posters' comments on another thread regarding suggestions for RP's running mate...and I know at this point we are getting ahead of ourselves, but what the heck, it's Christmas and it's okay to be frivalous...

Perhaps Judge Napolitano might be a better fit as Attorney General.

And Senator Jim Webb ( a former GOP'er who left the party because of the neocon take-over) might be a good candidate for RP's Vice President. Webb is very personable and articulate and he is old school conservative. ( I don't see him as a Dem frankly. That marriage is one of convenience for all parties concerned).

So what do you guys think of my VP candidate suggestion?

After Sanchez decided to 'tell the truth' after his tour, Generals speaking AFTER they got 'theirs', and so on, erased trust of their sworn word and loyalty. No thanks.

ghost: He's not a Republican.

I've considered all your remarks careully and I found an article in NRO ...hold your nose and read it please - because it's written by a personal friend of Jim Webb and it answers many of your concerns.

Ghost, I think Jim Webb is a DINO - dem in name only. In fact in the article, his friend says there's no chance the likes of Harry Reid will re-mould Jim Webb.

Cyni and Peppa - Jim Webb is not your typical West Point officer type. He remembers his loyalties to those left behind, whose lives have been shattered by war and forgotten by those who sent them to fight foreign wars. Jim Webb ended up working as general counsel for a veterans association after he graduated from Georgetown Law School.

Peppa - Jim Webb is no beltway "insider". He says he doesn't wear a bridle well and it shows.

All I'm suggesting is that you keep an open mind to my fanciful suggestion.

Thanks for the post Scrapper. I'll check out the article. Party means nothing, but his actions do.
