If you get an Intel Mac, you can run anything including MacOS that has been ported to the x86 platform.

With a generic PeeCee you assemble yourself, you can run anything except MacOS.

It takes an afternoon to build a box from parts. Use a Zalman CPU fan (quiet!) and build it to YOUR personal tastes. Tell Dell to get stuffed.

What do you do if parts fail, or you have problems? I know Dells are expensive compareably to other pc's or if you build one yourself, but for most layman, myself included, a Dell or HP are the realistic choices.
