And had anxiety prespiration to deal with afterwards. I like End Of World concept movies, am a sucker for them really. This sets the new standard for the genre for the transcending End Of The World Experience. Of course its set in Long Island, always the preferred location for the EOW experience, with distressing run down landmarks that signal that a really, really. really BAD EVENT has happened. It has automatic weapons, explosives, cars blowing up, food storage issues, mantraps, mis shapen diseased humans? choppers, ususual plot twists, needles, blood, bad looking pistols, scary looking medical equipment,fighter jets, bombs, huge distressed crowds of disparate people who are doomed, army guys doing serious army things in army kind of ways, very dangerous angry dogs...... and even more disturbing angry,......... well I'll leave it at that. My wife and I both agreeded it was time for a "I Love Lucy" rerun after we saw I am Legend. Well its so a Christmas time movie. Do see it on the BIG SCREEN, it is demanded by the nature of the experience. Well worth it. Locked all the doors tonite.

I saw it yesterday, it was much better than I expected, and just as gruesome as I expected. I would recommend it. There was a message too.

The only difference is that the old version had a white doctor and it was set in San Franciscio. I saw it when I was pretty young which must have been 20 or 30 years ago!! I heard a reviewer say that it is hard for a film to capture the ending of the novel.

That did look good - didn't know JN did the Joker, but seems like a natural for it. Did you see the 10,000 BC trailer? Looked interesting to me but as noted I am a sucker for the EOW theme plots.
"Satan / Cheney in "08" Not sure about Doctor Paul, but Vermont's Senator Patrick Lahey is a shameless 'Batman' fan. He had a cameo in one, possibly two of the Batman films. I lived in Vermont when he was shilling to have a marble quarry in Barre to be filmed as Mr. Freeze's headquarters for the last (and horrible beyond words) of the 90's Batman films. Sadly; it was a real warm winter in Vermont, and the plan was scrapped.

I haven't been to the movieplex in a decade or rented movies in a couple years, but thanks for the review. It has received good reviews from the "critics". I'm not much of a Will Smith fan, but he is a giant box office draw.
