"Truthers" love to say how most Americans don't believe the "offical story" and that many people want a new investigation.

So why hasn't 9/11 "truth" gone mainstream? Why is there no action in Congress for a new investigation? Why isn't 9/11 "truth" being talked about in mainstream media outlets? Why isn't it an issue in the 2008 campaign? Where are the "Nova" and "Frontline" documentaries about 9/11? Where are the History Channel programs about 9/11 "truth?"

I know the easy answer is to blame the media but if MOST Americans don't buy the "official story" the media would reflect that reality just as they reflect the public's desire for celebrity stories.

If 9/11 "truth" had appeal or interest beyond society's fringe, it would show and that is the harsh reality "truthers" must face.

Most people don't believe the official story and want a real investigation. However, the people are powerless to do anything about it. They are not in control. I suppose in theory the public could vote everyone out of congress and replace them with people that would have an investigation; however, in fact, that is not possible.

The media generally gives the people what they're interested in because that's the best formula for getting ratings.

If 9/11 "truth" was on the minds of most Americans, that is if it were a mainstream concept, it would be reflected in the media because it would be a ratings bonanza.

The harsh reality for conspiracy theorists is that 9/11 "truth" has peaked and isn't going anywhere.
