Poster Comment:

I am no fan of homosexuality, but the "pope" is nuts to blame them for this... But I expect this nuttyness from our so-called "religious leaders".

He said the traditional family led by a husband and wife instilled values that promote peace, and added it was an "irreplaceable" institution.

"Those who are hostile, even unknowingly, to the institution of the family ... make peace fragile for the entire national and international community," the Pope told crowds gathered in a sunny St. Peter's Square.

Gay marriage is legal in several European countries including predominantly Catholic Spain, where hundreds of thousands of Catholics rallied on Sunday in favor of the traditional family. The Pontiff had addressed the Spanish rally via a live video-link.

"I wanted to shed light on the direct relationship that exists between the family and peace in the world," the Pope said.

"The family is the primary agent of peace and the negation or even the restriction of rights of the family ... threatens the very foundations of peace."

No connection whatsoever. But then again who launched the Crusades? Since the Papacy is a non-family it explains why the popes pushed for war.

And I wouldn't call Spain warlike today, in its post-empire days and don't expect a new imperial resurgence because of gay marriage there.

From Two Party System... ...to Two Family System.

Agreed.

It's just another way to divide people. They are so much easier to rule, that way.

Explains why Government segments people.

Catholic white males, to the left.
Protestant black females to the right.

Let the panderfest begin!

America is not at war. The military is at war. America is at the mall and the Congress is out to lunch.

If the Pope made this precise connection, ( traditional family structure =world peace) then he's definitely stretching the value of heterosexual nuclear families.

However I agree with his position on the value of traditional families to society and to future generations, generally speaking.

Homosexuals, like everyone else, are usually nice enough people on a personal level, but I personally don't like homosexual-centric politics and so I don't think homosexuals should be running any countries, militaries, corporations, religions or schools.

If one of you geniuses had looked a little closer, you'd have noticed that the pope actually refers to "gay marriage" (sanctioned by law), not "gay love" as a spiritual problem.

Like it or not, the New World Order you idiots complain about alot is very GAY friendly. More big government public laws will be forthcoming that recognize gayness to be deserving of public support.

Get used to it.

If we are idiots, then that must mean you are wise.

Tell me, oh wise one:

What does gay marriage have to do with war?

The NWO is "gay friendly" insofar as it drives yet aother wedge between gays and "christians", and between and gays and other groups. If there was no potential for conflict, the NWO wouldn't bother.

Gays aren't the enemy, the NWO is.

This is what he said. How do you get all that gobbledygook from that?

You talking to me?

There is no "direct relationship that exists between the family and peace in the world," I declare BS on this quote.

Every tinhorn dictator in the world had / has a family. Every SS camp guard had a family. Bush has a family. Every Red Guard had a family. Every STASI agent had a family. Almost everyone has a family. That does not stop wars.

The popes quote makes a nice quote. It makes people feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But it is still BS.

I'm talking to whoever wrote this. That's not what the pope said, it belongs in the comment section.

The family unit is important to society, that seems basic to me (look at places without them, usually war zones). I would say there is a relationship, but that alone does not guarantee peace. You could also argue that a society of families is required to make war. When kings were too harsh on their serfs, they had trouble rounding up enough healthy recruits for their next war.

I'm not going to explain anything to you, until you first admit of your obvious misquote deception.

If your misquote was purposeful, it means you are dishonest. Dishonest people are not worth my time.

If your misquote was based on a belief that gay love is the same as state- sanctioned gay marriage, then you are stupid. Stupid people are not worth my time as well.

Ratzinger è gay.

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

I didnt misquote anything. I copy/pasted it word for word.

There are 2 links in the OP. But you are wise, and I am sure you didnt miss that.

1 had the quote, the other the popes comments.

Now, what exactly did I misquote again?
