We couldn't have said it better! Like most people, Eva wasn't always aware of the cruelty of the fur trade. She told us, "I remember having my first premiere in New York City and being so naïve that I didn't have a coat with me. My stylist sent me a ... fur wrap for the evening, and I ignorantly wore it. PETA then wrote me a beautiful letter commenting on my less-than-educated choice. I was so impressed that I vowed to them and myself to NEVER wear real fur on the red carpet or in my life again." As Eva knows, the fur trade is a violent, bloody industry that has no place in fashion. On fur farms in China, where most fur originates, minks, foxes, rabbits, and other animals are kept in tiny wire cages in all weather extremes. They are strangled, bludgeoned, and often skinned while they are still alive. Since fur is often deliberately mislabeled, if you wear fur, there's no way to tell whose skin you're in—it could even be cat or dog fur. Follow Eva's example and sign PETA's pledge to be fur-free today!

Suppose the vegans "win" and milk and beef are outlawed and we have to compete with cows for grazing plants and space. Who do you think gets extinct in that equation? If it wasn't for their utility as slaves, cows would go the way of mastadons. Good, let them become extinct, along with all other "domesticated animals". How do humans and cows compete for space if all cows are gone? That just don't make no sense. PS mastadons are relations to elephants, and humans will get rid of them all to soon. umkay.

In fact, it's already been worth it to me and I wasn't even thinking about buying a fur coat. I was planning on running right out and buying three or four but now that I have seen that picture I stand corrected (or something like that). ahaha. Seriously, in this day and age I don't know why people still wear fur coats. I wouldn't contribute to that cruelty if I had plenty of money and could buy all of them a department store could hold.

Good point! Guess why it makes me so mad is because this puts a message out to children, especially pre teen girls...that the only way to be heard is to get naked! I know that is somewhat extreme and if this was the only ad that did it..I wouldn't even bother..guess I am sick of being bombarded by sex all the time..and the fact little kids (even boys) are picking up on the WRONG message!!!

If cows couldn't give meat and we couldn't eat them, they'd be extinct. They're domestic and their species survival depends on our use for them. Same with domesticated mink (rats with nice fur), horses, dogs, cats, sheep, domestic pigs, etc.
