If the straws polls are accurate, than Ron Paul is in great shape. The Iowa straw poll (8/11/07) was one of Ron Paul's lowest.

The Paulbots claim that the reason RP is running in the GOP primaries is because the GOP is the vehicle for him winning the presidency. Of course, they are going to do a 180 now and state that RP is only making all this noise to 'educate' the consumers. It's quite pathetic, if you make an effort to think about it. What upsets me is not the fact that RP has 'zero chances' to win the presidency but the fact that he actually had a chance to win it and it all went down to waste because he stayed with one of the 2 criminal political 2-parties. It's a huge waste. As for the educating of the consumers... a dozen 30-second sound-bites on the teevee does not educate a consumer. Want to educate the people? Write a book.

Well, if you want me to predict the future it's... plastics, for as long as we can get the hydrocarbs to make them. Or, maybe genetic engineering so that our offspring could be more like lions than like dogs or cows. Or maybe there CAN be a new frontier, somewhere in space. The most plausible post-Ron Paul future, IMHO, it's a world increasingly maintained by robotic devices - just got the Missus a robotic vacuum cleaner for Xmas - while humans immerse themselves into VR games and get so fat and real-world-lazy, they can no longer move. If the humes die off before the bots get self-sufficient, then it's the end of it. If the bots are capable of self-maintenance and self-improvement before the last human kicks the bucket then... why would they take advantage of such capability anyway. Unless... they find religion.

In my heart, I'm with you here. I believe in and have seen some small miracles with respect to RP's campaign and the people supporting it. Then there is my mind. My nagging mind. Always incredulous why people still go to movies where the young girl goes in to check out a weird sound in an old abandoned house, after finding something dead on the porch. Or something like that. A part of this brain of mine says, the PTB are pushing the public into a corner to goad them into revolt. Then plans laid to deal with such can be put into action. If people simply wake up, channelling it towards peaceful revolution would seem to be the best response.
Americans tried that once, it did'nt work.
I better clean up the musket then. There's always griping and whining from the sidelines as a backup plan.

In any event, Paul has two delegates so far for the convention, and unlike most Republican delegates, are unlikely to change their votes to accommodate any of the other candidates, causing possible gridlock at the convention (it's either Ron Paul or nobody). Stay tuned. Jan 8 will have me glued to the computer/tv. I'll be off from work and it's also my birthday. I would tend to agree. At this point they, the NWO/Rothschilds/Rockefellers, have enough of their Police State apparatus in place that an armed insurrection would be very very very bloody. We might well prevail but the cost would likely be staggering. Better if we can do this peacefully. However, they are psychotics and will not give up their death grip willingly.

I want to make sure that when people promise that they're in this for the long haul, that they realize that it may take 9 more years to elect a freedom candidate if RP isn't elected. RP supporters need to make ties with each other that are LASTING. Get names and phone numbers. Exchange Christmas cards. Meet for ball games and barbecues. Get your families together. Start businesses together. Remember how to do what we're doing now always, and keep talking. Don't let any setbacks slow down the momentum.

This is really up to the Ron Paul campaign. They need to make news now. Call press conferences, which I seldom see happening. Roll out attack ads that will point out that only RON PAUL means change.

I think all of this is way bigger than we are. The important thing for me is to know that as long as I am pressing for freedom some way, some how, I can be satisfied that I'm doing something. Anything is better than being cynical and discouraged. I actually think this is a normal state of existence for any human being at any point in history. The forces of tyranny come from within our natures, and are in each of us, every day. Without continual defense, liberty will always be easily overcome -- even by the very efforts being used to defend it (as we've seen after 9/11).

Dear Palo - OI and I are talking about learning from our process, which is working. We're optimistic about LONG TERM change even beyond Ron Paul's career because we see that what we're doing is WORKING. That's optimistic. And it's more important than just one man's election. I do not think that ads would have worked. The public believes that the news media are on their side, on the side of freedom. If they do not hear about Ron Paul on every channel, in each news broadcast, being interviewed and cross-examined by trusted thinkers, they will assume that he is a crank. That wouldn't be changed by expensive ads. Ron Paul needs to start making his own news, gathering his own intellectuals together, and having them interview him with questions that make sense. This 10% support in the Iowa caucus means that he has a few days to do this.
only liberty is natural our citizens will be so happy and relaxed to have truth the Ron Paul Presidency will be a joy to every citizen isn't it nice we are posting to each other again

That is reality and I would believe that most people accept that. That however does not allow me and most other Americans here to sit on the sidelines doing nothing. That is your option and welcome to it. Most of the good people here are made of sterner material.
