I've been thinking about teaching myself how to teleport, but I think there might be some problems.

For one, the spin of the earth, which at the equator is about 1000 miles an hour. If I was to teleport from either pole to the equator, I would essentially go from zero miles an hour to 1000 mph. I'd be a long red streak.

On the other hand, I could jump from pole to pole, or from the same latitude from either hemisphere, and have no problem.

If I was to jump from the equator into space, I'd pop into space doing 1000 mph! The inertia would immediately squish my organs flat.

Now, if I was to jump from either pole into space, again, no problem.

I could jump from either pole to the moon, but I believe the moon is moving at about 60 miles per second. If I was to land on the trailing edge of the moon, I'd have no problem, but I was to land on the leading edge, I'd fly into the moon at 60 miles a second! Of course, I could appear several yards above the moon and just float down...

I guess those transporters on Star Trek would have the same problem.

Let's see YOU get into a transporter! You'll be sorry!

OK, how about your last saliva test, was it negative?

No saliva test??? There must be a Federal Law concerning that somewhere.

If you were on the equator, and stole a F15, and travel 1000 MPH heading east, get hit by a MiG 29, and you eject at 30,000 ft, would you then teleport to a position far away from where you ejected? I am assuming that the slipstream does not remove your face during ejection, and a definition of teleportation.

If your face IS removed during ejection, then you would teleport directly to Heaven.

I used to ponder things like that, after smoking a little weed.

It's trippy without the weed.

As you can tell from my post, I never needed the stuff...of course, there is huge difference between "need" and "want," especially when you're 16 years old.
