NH GOP drops sponsorship of FOX debate Email|Link By James Pindell January 5, 2008 11:26 AM

The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate.

“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field," said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. "Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures."

The Fox debate is excluding Texas Congressman Ron Paul even though he polls higher in New Hampshire and has raised significantly more money, and is campaigning more in New Hampshire than Fred Thompson who is invited.

My E-Mail to NH GOP Fergus Cullen

Mr. Cullen,

I had written earlier in response to Mr. Paul's being denied debate time on FOX, and may have directed some of my frustration at you. I apologize and thought it necessary to convey my appreciation to you for the NH GOP's stance in the matter, and refusal to participate in this Kangaroo Debate.

The Republican Party has suffered a tremendous lack of credibility and viability through the unconstitutional actions taken by a Republican controlled congress, George W. Bush, and by ignoring Dr. Paul while seemingly going to extremes to support abortionists, gay marriage advocates, flip floppers, open border proponents and war mongers.

Our Nation has moved dangerously near fascism in an incremental fashion over the years and has leaped in that direction under George Bush. Ron Paul is the only conservative Republican in the race. The others are RINOs, that talk out of both sides of their crooked mouths.

Thank you for doing the honorable thing. I may speak for many others that remain hopeful for America, and thought it necessary to correct my previous e- mail.
