NH GOP drops sponsorship of FOX debate Email|Link By James Pindell January 5, 2008 11:26 AM

The New Hampshire Republican Party dropped their affiliation with a Republican debate sponsored by Fox News tomorrow night because they have limited the number of candidates that can participate.

“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field," said Republican chair Fergus Cullen. "Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures."

The Fox debate is excluding Texas Congressman Ron Paul even though he polls higher in New Hampshire and has raised significantly more money, and is campaigning more in New Hampshire than Fred Thompson who is invited.

"Hats off" to the NH GOP. It is the right thing to do.

This will also throw more attention to the faux news 'war candidates only' agenda.

Never swear "allegiance" to anything other than the 'right to change your mind'!

They should have added as an explanation why Fox omitted Paul was because Thompson made a pilgrimage to Tel Aviv, Paul did not.

who... Just as an indicator of why Fox dropped Paul...

Murdoch owns 175 newspapers world wide, "ALL" of which editorialized FOR the Iraq war. Paul is the only one wanting out of this obscene war.

From another thread:

I read that Rassmussen Reports currently has Dr. Paul in 3rd place in NH ( hurray!) behind The Mittster and McCain, but leading The Huckster!!!!!

McCain 31%, Romney 26%, Ron Paul 14%, Huckabee 11%

I tried to post from Rasmussen directly but the site went down.

The citizens of NH are ornery by temperament, thats the Yankee way, and they will not be stampeded by the MSM.

Regardless of how Paul does in votes, percentages etc etc, it will be more interesting to see the information provided by the number crunchers and bean counters. It is very important to compare voters vs prior primaries, and where they went. Many trends can be ascertained with honest appraisal of the numbers.

My E-Mail to NH GOP Fergus Cullen

Mr. Cullen,

I had written earlier in response to Mr. Paul's being denied debate time on FOX, and may have directed some of my frustration at you. I apologize and thought it necessary to convey my appreciation to you for the NH GOP's stance in the matter, and refusal to participate in this Kangaroo Debate.

The Republican Party has suffered a tremendous lack of credibility and viability through the unconstitutional actions taken by a Republican controlled congress, George W. Bush, and by ignoring Dr. Paul while seemingly going to extremes to support abortionists, gay marriage advocates, flip floppers, open border proponents and war mongers.

Our Nation has moved dangerously near fascism in an incremental fashion over the years and has leaped in that direction under George Bush. Ron Paul is the only conservative Republican in the race. The others are RINOs, that talk out of both sides of their crooked mouths.

Thank you for doing the honorable thing. I may speak for many others that remain hopeful for America, and thought it necessary to correct my previous e- mail.

Thanks, Doug Scheidt

This will once again prove to be useful for Paul.

Ultimately I think this is the appeal that we need to make for getting out the word on Ron Paul: the 4th estate is full of people who started their careers out of a desire to uphold the integrity of society.

Excluding or distorting Ron Paul's message is a violation of that integrity, but the media is doing it systematically.

You know better than that ... generalizations are pointless ... I was born a Yankee, but have lived somewhere south of the Mason-Dixon most of my life. I like the South better, in most cases the people are more civil/genteel.

:-) Although I often make take digs at my Yankee friends it is true that the pain of the civil war still remains and I knew as soon as Paul took on Lincoln in a question about the war that Yankee pride was taken aback and so they attacked not on anything based on fact rather the idol status given there icon....for many years I defended Cecil John Rhodes the founder of my country until I discovered what a jerk he was it was not pleasant to tear down a icon and admit one was wrong

Difficult for an honest candidate to speak his mind and then have to ward off the dems, MSM and his own party. At least NH had the integrity to stand up. McLame and the other war mongers are silent, so much for party unity.

When one realizes on their own that one of the most ardent supporters of Lincoln was Karl Marx, then you have to rethink all you were told.

Marx waxed ecstatic when Abe threw people in prison with no recourse and even tried to jail one member of the SC.

I'm glad there's one state with decent GOP people who aren't willing to let the neocon shill media pick the Republican nominee for them.

Deng was born and raised in Xuzhou, Jiangsu.[1] She attended the local Xuzhou No. 1 Middle School. During high school, Deng's father relocated to Guangzhou to work at the People's Machinery Works, whilst Deng remained behind for a short while. Afterwards Deng joined her father in Guangzhou, and began medical studies. In 1987, at the age of 18, she met Jake Cherry (who is 30 years older than Deng), an American working for Guangzhou Engineering Factory, and his wife Joyce Cherry, who started teaching Deng English. In 1988 Mr. and Mrs. Cherry sponsored a student visa for Deng and she moved to America to live with the Cherrys and to study at California State University.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendi_Deng

In their November 1, 2000 edition, the Wall Street Journal published an article in which claims were made about Deng's personal history. The authors claimed that, in 1990, Jake Cherry left his wife to marry Deng after his wife found photos her husband had taken of Deng in a Guangzhou hotel room. Four months through their marriage, the article said, Jake Cherry asked Deng to leave when he found out she had been seeing another man. Subsequently, several other news outlets carried or made reference to the Wall Street Journal article. The Murdochs have denounced these rumours as "malicious nonsense."[2]

In 2007, Deng's current husband, Rupert Murdoch, bought the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones.[3]

Yeah, they sure give all candidates an equal chance. TheNH pubby committee might have dropped sponsorship(wink, wink) but they sure took their good old time about it. They give the appearance of being in support of equality, but that is a joke. The big boys at the top in the RNC are calling the shots and the marginalization of Ron Paul is on going.

Believe what you want. I know better.

It is past time for Dr. Paul to take the gloves off. As they say, nice guys usually finish last. He has got the right message and character. He needs to fight back ferociously. That is the only way left for him to get his message out to the voters.
