A major national pollster says that Hillary Clinton has fallen well behind in New Hampshire after her third-place finish in Iowa.

Rasmussen Reports, in a telephone survey of 510 likely Democratic voters on Friday, found 37 percent backing Barack Obama, 27 percent for Clinton, 19 percent for John Edwards and 8 percent for Bill Richardson.

Rasmussen projects that 40 percent of the Democratic ballots will be cast by independents, not registered party members. The poll's admitted margin of error is 4.5 percent.

In Rasmussen's last New Hampshire polling, before Christmas, Clinton led Obama by 3 percent.

Poster Comment:

More and more I'm thinking it's going to be an Obama-Edwards ticket, if they can get past the pro-Hillary California and Florida camps. Edwards did Obama a great service in all the debates - Edwards was armed for Hillary and hit her weak points relentlessly and Obama profited from this I would think. Ice Queen going down, down, down.

Not far enough. Hell wouldn't be far enough.

Good. I despise that Republican in Democrat clothing witch Hillary. Never, ever ever forget that NAFTA and GATT both passed with the Clinton's blessing. And she rolled over and supported the war in Iraq, and funding for the war. She's a Republican, folks. She's Bush in Drag. What else do you really need to know about her?

If it's not Ron Paul, do we really care if it's Hillary or not? I don't want to fall into the delusion of actually favoring someone else over her.

Exactly. Actually, this is hurting Ron Paul because a lot of those independents and young people are jumping on the Hussein Obama Bandwagon instead of the RP Bandwagon.

Well imo, it's not helpful to simply hyper-focus on Ron Paul to the exclusion of everything else in the political landscape.

For example at one point the initial focus of 4um's ad was focused on going negative against Hillary since we thought she'd be the Dem front runner and we wanted to play on the fear factor. However, it looks like that could have been a bit of a wasted effort on our part because Hillary is not popular even with the Dems themselves per results in Iowa and projected standings in NH.

So I think an awareness of emerging trends, especially those that dispute pre- conceived ideas, can be useful.

And for politicalaholics like myself, all political news is interesting to ponder and discuss.

These young people are the ones who are deluded into thinking that Obama is the real anti-war candidate. He may not be as bad as Hillary, but he's still a liberal globalist at heart, and liberal globalists like wars almost as much as neocons do, as long as they're the ones running them.

They might not be if Ron didn't let himself get dragged off on so many %#*(#@ irrelevant tangents.

C'mon Ron get focused.
