This country was birthed by a bloody revolution, a revolution fought by the few, that brought freedom for all.

We are guilty of letting it slip away, perfectly willing to accept the yoke of oppression that one day will be replaced by the hang mans noose. History is a stern teacher, one that speaks of evil men that have wanted to control the world.

This total control now perhaps is within their grasp.

I read a story recently that indicates that situation has changed quite a bit...can't recall the source. I remember being surprised when I read it...

In my particular situation, I think a .22 semi-auto rifle that holds ten or so rounds in the chamber would be a better choice.

Anything is better than nothing, but determined individuals can take a few .22 rounds easily, as it simply feels like a punch from what I hear. A 12 gauge full of buckshot feels a bit different than that I believe, and so does a .40 caliber round or higher.

And all the young people coming out in favor of Ron Paul suggest that maybe the problem is something else.

I think it is fraud, pure and simple.

I think you are right on this one
because Rasmussen has always been accurate in the past
I've checked all his polling against the actual results
he is only off by 1 or 2 percent, and as I said the person did better than the poll

it is having demoralizing effect on many of Ron Paul supporters
and will "justify" leaving him out of debates and no news coverage, etc
(which may be the reason for it)

all I can do is pray South Carolina is honest in its reporting of the vote

It's not so bad if you use the reduced recoil shells. Handguns are better at home defense in my opinion, as they have more maneuverability and have more than adequate stopping power if using a good round such as .40 or .45 caliber.

Puzzling, indeed........was not Bob Smith the senator from NH, who was a very outspoken advocate for the POW/MIA families...........those families that mclame pushed aside as being of no importance because there were trade deals to be made with viet name, etc.

How they could go from sending a senator like that to picking a sicko like mclame for prez is beyond most people, I'd venture to say.

I recall supporting and voting for Goldwater and everyone jumped on Johnsons bandwagon. Anyone that was for Goldwater was a tad stupid and the butt of many jokes etc.

The result of their high minded thinking was a landslide victory for Johnson and one long devastating war that claimed thousands of American lives and broken bodies. As that long war dragged on it was amazing that NO ONE would admit voting for Johnson.

Thinking the way the system wants you to think is alive and well.

Also I'm puzzled that Huckabee has done as well as he has in NH. Previously political pundits predicted that Huckabee would finish near the bottom because there's not much of an evangelical base in NH.

And indeed Huckabee himself seems bewildered ( but thankful) for his 3rd place finish in NH. From Bloomberg:

It depends on what country the ammo comes from. The Russian stuff works great, but some of the Eastern Eurpean stuff is hard to get out.

Be sure to clean the thing really well after firing. The ammo is horribly corrosive. Most of them have great bores as most guys never fired them least they give their position away. Mine are really accurate. I am now scoping one. They kick like mules though. Apparently, they really can hit things at 2000 meters, but I never tried it.

**********

I re-read your post and saw you are using Russian ammo. It's proably the shipment. Every time I go to buy ammo it's differnt. Packaged differntly, etc. I found some I liked and bought a lifetime supply. Like I said above, it was about 3 bucks a pack.

One advantage of the Mosin is that you can hit someone over the head with it and do some damage. An AR-16 is a wiffle bat at close quarters.

This today from Baltimore Sun....

"A McCain candidacy and defeat would be a near-term disaster for the Republicans, but it might be good for the party in the long run. Mr. McCain would be the standard bearer of big-government conservatism: taxing and spending at home and crusading for democracy in foreign lands. His defeat in November would show beyond all doubt that such "conservatism" has been a political failure. He would thus, at long last, open a sorely needed debate about the principles of the Republican party"

The above sounds a lot like Ron Paul.

Sheesh -regarding the potential ban on semi-automatic weapons and concealed carry - I'd say that's the least of our worries if Obama wins.

Obama is a far left socialist - there's a reason why a guy like Mekons loves Obama and it isn't because of Obama's stand on guns, I'd wager.

I'd be worried about a NATIONAL ban where they'd try to actually carry out house to house raids on ALL gun owners that have their purchases recorded, or their gun ownership known by the government. If it's incremental, and they pull a few more Virginia Tech's and Columbine's, then the sheeple will be on their side.

The Bastards would not even let Ron Paul come in 3rd. They had to elevate Hucksterbee and Ghouliani over him.

There is no way this is an honest count.

Also as I predicted "Hillary wins by a 'narrow' margin" and then amid a great resurgence in support will march "triumphantly" into the Democonned Convention where she will be officially annointed as Queen.

Only 10% reported so far, so there's still room for some movement since voting preferences vary by district. Maybe a few points, anyway.

It's sad, but it's probably true. According to CNN, RP got 14% of the GOP-voting 'independents' while McCain and Romney had Indie votes in the 30's.

fraud can be detected if it is looked for..

all I can think to do is pray for honest results in as many States as possible in the Primaries coming up

palo: ..but I think something is fishy here in NH

I'm not buying this "fishy" business. Older people from the north may simply not like Ron Paul's anti-New Deal stance, or his "bring all the troops home" message. This should not surprise us too much. The media's dislike for Ron Paul is easily all it takes to keep him from getting elected, since we literally learn all we know about candidates through media sources. They vary some, but 90% have either ignored Ron Paul or have shown massive prejudice against him.

The real conspiracy here is in control of the media, and control over education. Pro-government state-funded education is an impact on these people that can last for a lifetime. We're a unique bunch for liking Ron Paul. We are trying to change minds through our own medium, but it's still not the primary source of news for every major voting bloc.

Don't give up yet, though. Ron Paul can taste victory. He will have his chance yet to reach through the cobwebs of prejudice and ignorance. We're going to have to help him offline, though.

An MSNBC exit poll follows. I include a highlight on Ron Paul supporters lower gun ownership in order to show that McCain voters are actually more traditional in some ways. Some Ron Paul voters are clearly just voting to stop the war in Iraq, and are greens or pacifists. This is GOOD. I welcome anyone's support for Ron Paul, left or right. But you can see that McCain speaks to traditional people (I've witnessed this myself, although I get hoarse trying to prove them wrong).

Do you or does someone else in your household own a gun?
