If Paul can pull 10% in a Republican primary with the goob foolers aligned against him, I think he would actually have a chance as an independent. It's too bad he isn't considering this.

There's a good chance it's going to come down to Hillary vs McCain. Hillary's not going to pull away goobs conditioned to hate Hillary on command no matter how much they dislike the war. Paul could pull from both sides.

Indeed. I was criticized for posting a thread a couple of weeks before Iowa suggesting this and for posting on threads long before that one, stating that the ONLY way RP could compete for the US presidency is by running AGAINST the 2 parties not from inside a party that can barely tolerate him. Now, after losing 3 out of three, maybe RP will consider this even though, after losing 3 GOP state contests, he has now the reputation of a loser and he will be identified by the MSM as a sore GOP loser so he can't win as an Indie any longer.

Au contraire, my friend. I suggested that the ONLY FIGHTING CHANCE RP had was to compete AGAINST the 2 parties. That was a call to fight and, indeed, it was very different from the schemes discussed by various RP supporters, involving RP's ability to somehow hijack the party of war and torture and get himself nominated for president by that party.

Like I said, reality was going come to bite you in the butt and... it did and it does. Can't operate effectively in the real world if you insist on rejecting it and on constructing some imaginary structures because they are prettier and then declare them to be 'real'.

I played a quest inside 'Knights of the Nine' tonite. It's an add-on to Oblivion and it's included in the 'Game of the Year' edition. A most satisfying experience in a vast, imaginary world.
