If Paul can pull 10% in a Republican primary with the goob foolers aligned against him, I think he would actually have a chance as an independent. It's too bad he isn't considering this.

There's a good chance it's going to come down to Hillary vs McCain. Hillary's not going to pull away goobs conditioned to hate Hillary on command no matter how much they dislike the war. Paul could pull from both sides.

It is time that he gives it serious consideration.

Fact of the matter is, RP will never get the GOP nomination for President.

And every GOP that voted for him should do like I'm going to do and walk away from the party. I intend on joining the Constitution Party though Libertarian is more consistent with my ideals.

Let's face it: Thanks to the efforts of GWB and Dick Cheney, there is not going to be another Republican president for at least 20 years, minimum, and quite possibly a lot longer than that. All any Democratic candidate for any office is going to have to say for the next 20 years will be "Bush, Cheney, Bush, Cheney, Bush, Cheney" in reply to any and all questions, and that's it, they'll win any election for any office anywhere. Bush and Cheney have contaminated the brand that badly. The damage may be irreparable.

I am not giving up on Ron Paul being our President

Love, Palo

I think Ron Paul will do well in South Carolina

it is significant that Iowa went to Huckabee, and NH for McCain
obviously NH is no longer "live free or die"

palo verde: it is significant that Iowa went to Huckabee, and NH for McCain obviously NH is no longer "live free or die"

christine: the true interpretation is that the MIC elected McLame in NH.

I don't understand NH's affection for McCrazy. I don't think MIC has anything to do with it frankly. McCain won New Hampshire when he ran against dubya in 2000. And one would think the MIC folks would love both of them equally.

McCain's continued popularity in NH is a puzzling one.

Puzzling, indeed........was not Bob Smith the senator from NH, who was a very outspoken advocate for the POW/MIA families...........those families that mclame pushed aside as being of no importance because there were trade deals to be made with viet name, etc.

How they could go from sending a senator like that to picking a sicko like mclame for prez is beyond most people, I'd venture to say.

Also I'm puzzled that Huckabee has done as well as he has in NH. Previously political pundits predicted that Huckabee would finish near the bottom because there's not much of an evangelical base in NH.

And indeed Huckabee himself seems bewildered ( but thankful) for his 3rd place finish in NH. From Bloomberg:

...Huckabee said the campaign was happy with his third-place finish when weeks ago "nobody thought we would even be one of the contenders in New Hampshire."...

it's possible Huckabee got those votes

for the same reason he got the votes in Iowa

they interpreted his message to mean he stands outside the establishment
and speaks for the little guy

I just would like to know what happened to the votes for Ron Paul
it appears that half of them were not counted

It's also possible that the Moon is made of Green Cheese.

Palo, you are a dear but the Iowa Ca-Ca-us was as crooked as a 3 dollar bill. The results were taken into a back room, and then after a couple hours delay as the results were slowly cooked, they were announced. They were not true results but they were the ones the crooks can make stand.

There are already reports coming out from Iowans who voted for Ron Paul calling foul.

The same holds true for New Hampshire. You can bet that there will be a big divergence between the Paper Ballots/Hand Counted Precincts and the Diebold Machine Made results.

New Hampshire Republican Primary

Precincts Reporting: 220 Of 301 73%

Winner Candidate Votes Vote %

X John McCain 63,140 37%

Mitt Romney 54,483 32%

Mike Huckabee 19,139 11%

Rudy Giuliani 14,619 9%

Ron Paul 13,283 8%

Fred Thompson 2,045 1%

So if the votes had been counted honestly
with Ron Paul's 14 percent reported by Rasmussen
(I thought the true number was 18 percent because Rasmussen can't reach anyone on cellphone
and youth is on cellephone)

then Ron Paul would have come in 3rd
I agree with Original Intent
this was not allowed

OK, I'm not going to get mad about it
but I am going to get even more determined to put Ron Paul in our Oval Office this time next year

GO RON GO

Before the debate? As I've said, RP's delivery in the ABC debate was less than stellar for the undecided traditional voter. He needs to get tough, like he did on Laura Ingrahm's show today.

They neglected to put their ads on Boston TV stations (until the last minute at most), and focused on local NH stations that almost nobody watches.

Perhaps you watched Paul on Leno last nite.

Leno asked the question of who would Paul pick of the others for his VP...That to me seemed to be a planted question by Paul and very interesting. I just cannot figure out what was the purpose.

I meant to watch Leno last night, I don't know what happened

IMHO Ron Paul would not pick any of the others to be his VP

How did Ron answer that question?

RP was polite - as I recall he said the current crop of GOP candidates would have to change their positions considerably but if any of them became more in sync with RP's positions he'd give those candidates consideration - RP said for example he tried to educate Rudy about foreign policy issues by recommending various books but thusfar Rudy did not seem to available himself of RP's reading list so RP did not seem hopeful about the others either.

we really are backing a lovely man for President
