Fact of the matter is, RP will never get the GOP nomination for President.
And every GOP that voted for him should do like I'm going to do and walk away from the party. I intend on joining the Constitution Party though Libertarian is more consistent with my ideals.

If anyone other than Paul wins the Republican nomination, the bots and bible thumpers can thank themselves for AT LEAST 4 years of Hillary Clinton or Barak Obama, for all of the smears and flak they threw out towards the ONLY viable candidate that would have honored his oath of office and did what was best for this Nation and her People.
Apparently, many of the Independents and young voters decided to vote for Obama rather than Ron Paul due to their not hearing Dr. Paul's message or understanding what he stood for. Little do they know they'll just be getting another GW Bush if he becomes president.
You appear to be a major trouble maker...and I'm getting really pissed. - GoldiLox, 7/27/2006

no it is not a fact Ron Paul was only 3 points behind McCain in Iowa and is only 3 points behind Huckabee now
and Huckabee won Iowa and McCain is doing so well in NH
in any case as I posted above, for me the meaning of the NH election depends on a true interpretation and tomorrow we will all put our heads together and come up with a true interpretation
Is $600 too much to pay for an AR-15? I remember remarking how something like that would put the fear of God into burglars, but once I got back to RP table was reminded that if I shot off something like in my neighborhood that it would go through four or five houses.

Let's face it: Thanks to the efforts of GWB and Dick Cheney, there is not going to be another Republican president for at least 20 years, minimum, and quite possibly a lot longer than that. All any Democratic candidate for any office is going to have to say for the next 20 years will be "Bush, Cheney, Bush, Cheney, Bush, Cheney" in reply to any and all questions, and that's it, they'll win any election for any office anywhere. Bush and Cheney have contaminated the brand that badly. The damage may be irreparable.
Gold and silver are REAL money, paper is but a promise.
If Ron is only getting 10% of the R votes in an open primary, what's that say about his chances in winning as an independent?
Not good, I'd say.
A lot of people have woken up to liberty with Ron Paul's campaign. Very encouraging but even so, there are still tons of dufuses out there who are sick of the war in Iraq and are now working hard bomb Iran.
It was a bit heavy for me, but I think the sheer menacing looks of the thing might make for workable trade-off.

I agree with you totally but I also think it was inevitable. A great book on political/societal trends is The Fourth Turning. It is written by two historians.

I often wonder about them, what are they thinking?

Mine will be 'No Paul - no vote,' and mail back in my voter card.
On an upbeat note - at the Walgreen's check-out counter today, the twentyish-something person evidently read my RP cap, and said, "I really like your cap."
I asked her to please spread the word and the message.
Just stop cleaning your cat box. After a few months burglers will just hit the place next door instead.
Ummm...Rule #1: A mans home is his castle. I decide how much my castle smells of cat shit, not some fucking burglars.
Rule #2: Fox News Sucks!

I think it's actully pretty good. He's dealing with the real butt sniffers here. People who think Fox News is a news program. And he's still pulling 10%. These people listen to Hume, Hannity and Limbaugh and even after the demonization 10% break ranks and vote for Paul.
In addition 45% hate Clinton and they will be up for grabs. Many know the war is silly and they're not going to like McCain.

We CAN get this thing done.
great post, Loddy you are right we can get this thing done We will not lose this one, we will win this one Love, Palo
No - for a quality make $600 is plenty cheap. And as far as hosing down all the neighbors, you can use 'fungible' rounds to keep all but the perps dead.
I love going to our RP meetup sign holding events, I've almost learned to read lips. "Who is Ron Paul?" you can see them ask from passenger seat.

If we take this to mean that 10% of the American population KNOWS what real freedom is and KNOWS what's wrong with the established politics and monetary policy then that's a real wonderful sign, really.
Unified and organized, 10% of a population can do a hell of a lot.
Not only would it keep burglers away, but you could shack up with some crazy cat lady.
But I only have the one cat, might be a bit of a bother on my part, don't you think?

With 40% in it looks like Hillary is going to beat Obama. Can't be 100% sure, but it looks bad for the porch monkey.
This is fine with me. I would prefer Hillary to four more years with McCain standing in for Bush. Of course, I would prefer a red assed baboon over that.
palo verde: it is significant that Iowa went to Huckabee, and NH for McCain obviously NH is no longer "live free or die"
christine: the true interpretation is that the MIC elected McLame in NH.
I don't understand NH's affection for McCrazy. I don't think MIC has anything to do with it frankly. McCain won New Hampshire when he ran against dubya in 2000. And one would think the MIC folks would love both of them equally.
McCain's continued popularity in NH is a puzzling one.
Only President Ron Paul would go up against the miltiary industrial complex all the others would do exactly what the MIC wants
New Hampshire is not an emblem of the country at one time they were libertarian minded but too many from Boston and NYC moved there they have become typical of New England voters
it is significant that Iowa voted for Huckabee, because of his message and they interpreted his message as "time to get someone in there who is not part of the establishment" they voted populist
Iowa reflects much more the majority of our country and Ron Paul is the true populist and truly outside the establishment
this is why I don't read that much into McCain's win in New Hampshire

Crazed Cat Lady is a sloucher, we need sharpshooters! Or at least cleanup to keep the ants out.

Well from the state of AZ time to dig up Impeach McCain bumper stickers again .....never in the history of man have so many been confused by so few.
"Only the Most Deluded of Us Could Doubt the Necessity of This War" --- Sen. John McCain Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004
"The nice thing about Alzheimer's is you get to hide your own Easter eggs". --- Sen. John McCain to reporters on a campaign trip.
"Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father." --- Sen. John McCain June 1998 Republican fund-raiser
Thank God for our form of government. The media won't let there be any cover-up. ---John McCain (remember the Keating 5?)
I think we finally have a poll without a margin of error, ... We have sent a powerful message to Washington: Change is coming. ---John McCain (could he be the change?)
" I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations." ---John McCain Washington Post: Tuesday, August 24, 1999
A finale note will some tell those in NH to drop its "live free or die" motto....
