Until you get a gun safe you can always put it on top of the slats (in a slipcase) of the box springs of your bed.

A good revolver is a little handier, I'm thinking a stainless steel S&W 686 in .357 Magnum.

I have a waterbed, but the point is that I only want a gun to ward off intruders. Once they wake me any gun I own may as well be locked in safety deposit box downtown, unless it's within reach when I wake up.

Maybe I should just hang tea-bags labelled "crack" from the cedar tree in my front yard.

Buy a slip cover for the rifle that looks like a giant cat turd. Then hide the gun in the cat box.

for home defence you're much better off with a 12-ga. riot gun

I fired one of those when I was 18 or 19, honestly thought it broke my collarbone for about the next week. No thanks.

Trust me, and many of my friends, on this one.

This is the best part of the Ron Paul campaign for me: to see so many people expressing their commitment to restoring freedom in America. The fires of liberty are being reignited all over the country. More fires will be lit from those, and so on. At least many people understand what has been lost, and want it back more than anything else.

Very little but I didn't want to be so blunt and not give some hope.

Ron Paul will never be President of these United States.

Well, so far only 2 states have spoken. If there can be a big difference between Iowa and NH with the Huckster and McBomb, then there is room for some hope that RP can do much better in other states. Obviously we were hoping better from the LFoD state which is also supposed to be the beneficiary of the free state project, but....

And then there's the message that may succeed if the messenger does not. Did 10% get the message loud and clear?

The Clinton / Obama thing has really narrowed of the past 20 minutes. But even if she loses, she's close enough to stay in the race.

Rasmussen had Ron Paul polling at 14 percent in NH
and Rasmmusen is only off by 1 or 2 points, and always lower than what the candidate gets in the election
and it's impossible a Ron Paul supporter would not come out to vote

there may be a little "irregularity" in these election results...

There may be a little "irregularity" in these election results...

Ron Paul should have come in at 16 per cent

I'm not going to make a fuss about it
but I think Ron Paul's real showing is better than what was reported...

If this is true, it is something to keep in our minds
that Ron Paul may have actually done better than reported, it shows his result in different light...

It was nice while it lasted, and it's rather sad that there are so few of us that loved it enough to try to keep it alive.

I think it is fraud, pure and simple.

If you're looking to defend against burgulars & thieves, a 12 gauge shotgun is the choice.

In my particular situation, I think a .22 semi-auto rifle that holds ten or so rounds in the chamber would be a better choice. A few of my friends were extolling the range of the .22 round, but I'm not looking for distance, I'm only wanting to stop burglars and the occasional vandal.

I think it is fraud, pure and simple.

That could be. It could also be a flock of old goobers that swallow every lie they hear on TV, and simply vote for whomever their local newspaper editor tells them to.

One thing about McCain though is that he was actually having live Town Hall meetings across the state, unlike Ron Paul who didn't really have any as far as I know, except for the one on Sunday night in Manchester.

I've been following all of Rasmussen's polls like a hawk for past 8 years
he is honest and accurate
and has never been off by more than 2 percent, the person has done 2 percent better than the poll

something is a little fishy here...

I won't make a fuss about it, but for true understanding,
it's important for us to know how Ron Paul actually did, no?

This country was birthed by a bloody revolution, a revolution fought by the few, that brought freedom for all.

We are guilty of letting it slip away, perfectly willing to accept the yoke of oppression that one day will be replaced by the hang mans noose. History is a stern teacher, one that speaks of evil men that have wanted to control the world.

This total control now perhaps is within their grasp.

Anything is better than nothing, but determined individuals can take a few .22 rounds easily, as it simply feels like a punch from what I hear. A 12 gauge full of buckshot feels a bit different than that I believe, and so does a .40 caliber round or higher.
