You know much about these? I have one that shoots great, but using steel cased russian ammo, the bolt is very hard to open after firing. I haven't tried brass cased ammo yet.

Given a choice of Hillary Clinton or John McCain, who would the American People vote for I wonder? Pray to God that Obama doesn't win the nomination, as he wants to ban ALL semi- automatic weapons and take away the right to concealed carry.

How they could go from sending a senator like that to picking a sicko like mclame for prez is beyond most people, I'd venture to say. Also I'm puzzled that Huckabee has done as well as he has in NH. Previously political pundits predicted that Huckabee would finish near the bottom because there's not much of an evangelical base in NH. And indeed Huckabee himself seems bewildered ( but thankful) for his 3rd place finish in NH. From Bloomberg: ...Huckabee said the campaign was happy with his third-place finish when weeks ago "nobody thought we would even be one of the contenders in New Hampshire."...

It depends on what country the ammo comes from. The Russian stuff works great, but some of the Eastern Eurpean stuff is hard to get out. Be sure to clean the thing really well after firing. The ammo is horribly corrosive. Most of them have great bores as most guys never fired them least they give their position away. Mine are really accurate. I am now scoping one. They kick like mules though. Apparently, they really can hit things at 2000 meters, but I never tried it. ********** I re-read your post and saw you are using Russian ammo. It's proably the shipment. Every time I go to buy ammo it's differnt. Packaged differntly, etc. I found some I liked and bought a lifetime supply. Like I said above, it was about 3 bucks a pack.

Sheesh -regarding the potential ban on semi-automatic weapons and concealed carry - I'd say that's the least of our worries if Obama wins. Obama is a far left socialist - there's a reason why a guy like Mekons loves Obama and it isn't because of Obama's stand on guns, I'd wager. Besides which some states have semi-automatic weapons restrictive statutes on the books and ditto for concealed carry restrictions:
I'd be worried about a NATIONAL ban where they'd try to actually carry out house to house raids on ALL gun owners that have their purchases recorded, or their gun ownership known by the government. If it's incremental, and they pull a few more Virginia Tech's and Columbine's, then the sheeple will be on their side.

There is no way this is an honest count. It's sad, but it's probably true. According to CNN, RP got 14% of the GOP-voting 'independents' while McCain and Romney had Indie votes in the 30's.

I'm not buying this "fishy" business. Older people from the north may simply not like Ron Paul's anti-New Deal stance, or his "bring all the troops home" message. This should not surprise us too much. The media's dislike for Ron Paul is easily all it takes to keep him from getting elected, since we literally learn all we know about candidates through media sources. They vary some, but 90% have either ignored Ron Paul or have shown massive prejudice against him. The real conspiracy here is in control of the media, and control over education. Pro-government state-funded education is an impact on these people that can last for a lifetime. We're a unique bunch for liking Ron Paul. We are trying to change minds through our own medium, but it's still not the primary source of news for every major voting bloc. Don't give up yet, though. Ron Paul can taste victory. He will have his chance yet to reach through the cobwebs of prejudice and ignorance. We're going to have to help him offline, though. An MSNBC exit poll follows. I include a highlight on Ron Paul supporters lower gun ownership in order to show that McCain voters are actually more traditional in some ways. Some Ron Paul voters are clearly just voting to stop the war in Iraq, and are greens or pacifists. This is GOOD. I welcome anyone's support for Ron Paul, left or right. But you can see that McCain speaks to traditional people (I've witnessed this myself, although I get hoarse trying to prove them wrong).

The results were taken into a back room, and then after a couple hours delay as the results were slowly cooked, they were announced. They were not true results but they were the ones the crooks can make stand. There are already reports coming out from Iowans who voted for Ron Paul calling foul. The same holds true for New Hampshire. You can bet that there will be a big divergence between the Paper Ballots/Hand Counted Precincts and the Diebold Machine Made results.

I'm not too worried about Special Forces airborning onto my property, not much I could do about in any case. The more I think about the more I think a .22 rifle is my best bet. If any clubbing needs doing I'll use 1/2" breaker bar.

A .22LR or even a .22 magnum won't achieve your objective. AR15s are .223 longer cartridge, much higher velocity but not an in-home defense weapon

buck... I think it is much simpler than that. There is a sad lack of name recognition. I speak to so many people that have NEVER heard of Ron Paul that you wonder where they have been living. That is a fact, it has nothing to do with his message or Paul. War, taxes etc etc means nothing if you have never heard of the man.

It is time that he gives it serious consideration. Fact of the matter is, RP will never get the GOP nomination for President. Indeed. I was criticized for posting a thread a couple of weeks before Iowa suggesting this and for posting on threads long before that one, stating that the ONLY way RP could compete for the US presidency is by running AGAINST the 2 parties not from inside a party that can barely tolerate him. Now, after losing 3 out of three, maybe RP will consider this even though, after losing 3 GOP state contests, he has now the reputation of a loser and he will be identified by the MSM as a sore GOP loser so he can't win as an Indie any longer.

And every GOP that voted for him should do like I'm going to do and walk away from the party. I intend on joining the Constitution Party though Libertarian is more consistent with my ideals. Thank you. There were a number of suggestions at this site, suggesting that this nation can be saved by people actually joining the GOP party and change that abomination from within. What an abominable idea.

Well I agree with you to a point, but older New Dealers will not like his message, when they do hear it. It didn't take election fraud to deliver NH to Clinton and McCain. Voter recognition and voter acceptance of Ron Paul's message needs to happen offline now. We've tried to make our point online here that the campaign should simplify and use traditional advertising. Whole markets may be closed to his message at any price. To give you an idea how expensive premium advertising is, $20 million is pocket change. Consider that Superbowl advertising is about $2.4 million a whack, as of 2005. Think about that. It takes billions to make the minds of Americans change. And there are billions being spent in overt and tacit, long-haul ways, to elect other candidates to protect the status quo.

and Rasmussen has never been wrong before
