Just a thought. So many other things like the blimp and the money bomb ideas are run independent of the campaign, why not raising a small amount for an NH audit/recount?

There's only about 150K votes or so. That's not that many, really.

Good idea.

Anybody know if a private group can pay for such an audit?

To reason, indeed, he was not in the habit of attending. His mode of arguing, if it is to be so called, was one not uncommon among dull and stubborn persons, who are accustomed to be surrounded by their inferiors. He asserted a proposition; and, as often as wiser people ventured respectfully to show that it was erroneous, he asserted it again, in exactly the same words, and conceived that, by doing so, he at once disposed of all objections. - Macaulay, "History of England," Vol. 1, Chapter 6, on James II.

The rulers will not allow an honest recount and besides, Diebold doesn't leave a paper trail.

One of the 'Grannie Warriors' indicated on AJ's show that evidently there's already a fund somewhere to either sue for a recount, or a new vote - people are pissed.

Is Paul open to it? If you aren't sure, I suggest people save their money, time and effort as he damn well should be.

Dig deep my friend, but if the reports are true that his campaign spent a miserly sum in NH, he has more loot in his coffers than we do. IOW, his apparent tight fisted campaign should consider it a wise investment to pay for the recount with the money they have on hand. After all, it is our money.

I don't know what to think right now about the Ron Paul thing. Delay means the recount will not happen.

The application shall be made in writing to the secretary of state and shall be submitted no later than the Friday after the primary for a recount of all ballots cast for such nomination.

Isn't that tomorrow?

If Ron Paul doesn't take the lead in this that will speak volumes. He's been a congressman for 20 yrs. You can't tell me that he doesn't know the election system is corrupt from top to bottom. His exposure of it is what he owes his supporters who have given him time and $20m. Alex Jones just said that he is concerned we've heard nothing from Ron Paul and that he doesn't want to have to lobby his campaign.

I think he should at least address the issue with us via email or something. Saying nothing is hurting him.

NH Rules for Recounts (Granny Warriors)

#12. To: IndieTX (#10)

Good day,

I am writing to voice my concerns over the inaction on the part of the Ron Paul 2008 campaign concerning irregularities in the NH vote counting.

I have my finger on the pulse of the grassroots on the internet and Dr. Paul is about to lose a whole bunch of support if he doesn't address this issue fast. The silence from the campaign has been deafening.

I'm sure you know the particulars by now, that 31 votes were left out in one hand counted town (Sutton), and that Dr. Paul's percentages in machine tallied towns average 5% lower than in hand counted towns.

If you let this go without challenging it, I think you are going to see a dramatic drop in support.

The good doctor should at least explain what he is going to do and why, even if he has decided to do nothing. I believe that time is of the essence. Support is evaporating even as I write this.

Jim Crispino

I just wrote the campaign. I tried calling but got voicemail, believe it or not. Maybe tons of folks are calling, I don't know.

What is a recount expected to reveal? That RP won the primary? That he, maybe, beat Giuliani for the 4th place?

It will put concerns to rest if there was no monkey business, and it will shine light on the fraud if there was monkey business.

You have a problem with that?

I have no problem with recounts and re-recounts but, in this particular case, RP lost the primary by such a huge margin, as predicted by ALL pre-election polls, the is no doubt that he, indeed, did lose.

I agree that Ron should be making some kind of statement after the NH primaries and I can't find that any has yet been made.

His exposure of it is what he owes his supporters who have given him time and $20m.

Just to keep things in proper perspective, we've not donated or worked for *him*. We've worked for liberty for ourselves. I wouldn't want to think of it in terms of him "owing" us anything. We think and hope he's a great pres candidate but no one is perfect.

OK, sorry I misunderstood your comment.

His percentages were half of what polls predicted. Some had him 3rd others as high as 2nd, no?

In order to slow down, and possibly stop the momentum of RP's campaign, all that was necessary was to drop his position from 3rd to 5th.

I do not remember reading about polls predicting RP at 16-18%. What I remember the polls were predicting was 7-11% for him and the final count was inside that range.

The CNN's exit polls showed that Romney and McCain got most of the 'independent' vote which is not surprising to me. I would expect that most of those truly 'independent' would not bother to vote in a GOP primary. As for those who did, it's likely that those who voted in the GOP primary were looking for a GOP-like person and RP is everything a GOP is not, except for the party affiliation.

Even if he lost the NH state, the size of the support is an important credibility indicator for other states. So we're not looking for 9.5% instead of 8%. If he really got 20% then it's much, much better indicator for other states that Ron Paul is worth looking at and can win.

NH by itself is a drop in the bucket as far as total votes needed to win nationwide so winning the state in of itself isn't so important.

Rasmussen polled him at 16% the day before the primary, according to some posts here on 4um.

It's weird, but at Rasmussen's site, they show him at 8% yet I found chatter at FreekRepublic citing the same poll showing RP third at 14%:

www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1948767/posts

I checked the google cached verion of Rasmussen's page and it too showed 8%, but it is a Jan 9th cache. How did freekers get it so wrong, unless Rasmussen changed the page? Yahoo says it doesn't have a cached page, even though the page is in their index.

Ron definitely has a certain ethic to him that will be part of what he decides to do. But since he has won 10 terms as a congressman with the Constitution in tow, I would temper any criticism one might be tempted to wield.

Someone too quick to accuse of fraud might not have been elected 10 times in Congress. I.e. you can't look like you're paranoid, even if you are.

And Ron will never look like he's paranoid.

It disagreed with the current official reality, and I already knew that Google was playing ball with the establishment.

I would not be surprised if other polling data was being "modified" so as to reflect the NEW reality.

More mind control.

Freepers would have been pounding on the fact that RP was polling at only 8%. That page had to have changed.

Whether or not google is complicit, I do not know. They tend to frequently spider sites that update frequently. It could be that their spider visits rasmussen on a daily basis, with no ill agenda.
