Dr. Paul reminded GOP voters what Republican used to stand for and what he represents.
That was a home run hit by RP! I think he gained votes with that response.

Good!!!

Hi Palo, it's late and I'm only going to add a few remarks here for you.

Ron Paul did the best ever in this debate, turning attacks by the moderators into winning retorts.

Ron Paul had a kindly face during parts of the talk, even at times when his opponents were making snide remarks.

Ron Paul's subtle suggestion that losing two "little" primaries did not indicate that he wasn't electable.

He delivered well on the message of small government, humble foreign policy, and civil rights.

He especially did well on the Israel-related questions, and evidently supported Israel's attack on the Iraqi reactor so many years ago.

He had to dodge the suggestion that he was a 911 truther, and did so well, leaving people's own thoughts to themselves.

I think his polling will improve a little at least. Now he can play to the south. Let's see how well he does there.

you're a peach
it sounds like Ron Paul did great!
I am overjoyed
Love, Palo

Where is this posted on foxnews.com?

It was not posted. It was the post-debate vote taken among a dozen Fox News bought-out "neutral" laymen debate observers.

Don't concern yourself about the vote. It was pretty clear - even to the freaker gopers - what FOX's feedback group was all about. Frankly it made Fox look terrible.

The people interviewed were not very well spoken and all were rather fat and unattractive - I think FOX tried to find people Americans might identify with but who wants to identify with overweight and goofy looking people, who ramble on and say nothing or who sound shrill and critical? Puhlease...

I prayed for him hard the whole debate, so I was not able to hear his answers
altho I did get strong visual interpretation

he is a gentle modest man
he does not act like a politician
he is unassuming
he is not arrogant

he is brilliant

I can say more in another post...
he is utterly different from all the rest...
we are lucky beyond measure to have him as our candidate

I don't understand that.

I guess the votes are being taken by TEXT VOTING from cell phones only.

I don't have the faintest idea how to TEXT a vote. But for those who do, those are the numbers to use to punch in a vote for Ron Paul.

another impresson I had (again visually)
was that it was a lively good debate

I don't know why everyone is mad at FOX about this debate
I thought Brit and the others did excellent job

of course I didn't hear a lot of the questions
and I didn't hear any answers
I was just praying for Ron Paul the whole time, I wanted him to do very well

that's why I am so grateful to all of your posts which let me know how Ron answered the questions
and how you thought he did
Love, Palo

I did hear Carl ask him about the truthers
it didn't seem to throw Ron Paul at all

I also heard Carl ask Huckabee about his position wife submit to husband at all times

Wow!

Ron Paul wins GOP Debate

Larry Fester

Published 01/10/2008 - 10:58 p.m. EST

Analysis- Republican Congressman Ron Paul won the GOP debate. Fox News apparently feeling pressure after censoring Ron Paul from the last GOP forum two days prior to the New Hampshire primary, included Paul in tonight’s debate.

Paul was actually given equal time to speak and he embarrassed his opponents on foreign policy, especially John McCain who had said prior to the debate that he would not mind keeping U.S. troops in Iraq for 100 years.

Paul pointed out that the U.S. can’t afford the Iraq war and is borrowing from China to finance it.

Paul was also the only candidate to recognize that the U.S. is already in a recession that could get much worse. He also said that the real estate market was already in a depression.

Paul spoke about monetary policy as the cause of the recession. His opponents did not seem too familiar with the topic.

On fiscal Conservatism Paul shined as well. His defense of the Constitution and Civil Liberties was also passionate.

The audience was also very receptive to Paul’s views applauding often, including foreign policy issues, which seemed to irritate the moderators.

Fox then presented a less than credible focus group that had almost all participants claiming Paul was the loser. Gauging the actual crowd applause, Paul was the winner, although it remains to be seen if that will translate into a victory in the state.

Fred Thompson, Mike Huckabee, and the Republican delegate leader, Mitt Romney all performed well.

Giuliani was a little redundant

McCain was the big loser. He came off a little unhinged. Paul just made his opponents look uninformed on foreign policy and liberal on economics.

Regardless of who you thought won the debate, it was by far the best. If the networks have had fair and open debates thoughout the campaign, the ratings would have been through the roof.

Cell phones can send actual 'text' messages that someone can read like an email on their little visual display. But they can also use a TEXT code to 'send' a vote on a poll.

Fake Focus Group Calls Ron Paul Loser

By Paul Reissaus | January 10, 2008

Paul Reissaus www.naureport.com

In yet another Faux News fake focus group, the actors were aked who they thought won the South Carolina debate, the concensus was Thompson, which I hate to admit is my view as well.

The next question was Who do you think lost? The actors on que, raised their hands in unison in favor of Ron Paul being the Loser. I couldn’t disagree more.

Let’s see, you have a dying actor (Thompson); a Nazi and potential rape victim (McCain); the son of a crime boss and made guy (Giuliani); a cockeyed preacher from Arkansas that believes it’s okay to rape and torture dogs (Hucklabee); George HW Bush’s third son and Nazi fascist co-conspirator (Romney); and a hardcore conservative with a long history of being right (RON PAUL!)

I didn't know audience was receptive and applauded
I didn't notice the moderators get irritated

I did see Brit Hume ask Ron Paul a question and become very serous and interested in Ron Paul's answer
I am sure that was foreign policy
probably Brit sees it differently than Ron Paul
