really can't imagine living without the computer now.

Though, we may all find ourselves reading smokesignals and using the abacus someday.

I did not do well at the abacus.

you are so funny lol
no I didn't do well with the abacus or the slide rule
I am very fond of computer now, and could not live without it

I figure we will stay high tech and get even more so

I also heard Carl ask Huckabee about his position wife submit to husband at all times LOL

I thought about going there but decided against it.

I actually know, or knew both of these people. Boggles my mind, Somebody had to go to Hope High School from 1972- 74. And I was the victim.

Mike, at the time, would stop and pull you out of the mud. A decent man really, nobody that I knew did not like him. Nobody could not like him, generally speaking.

He was always humble, and that was quite different from the other pompous religious kids in the school. A lot of that.

He is a true believer, One Way to Salvation and not, I think to be nuianced in the Middle East conversations.

In short I would love him as a neighbor and lothe him as a COC. O and the MIC would roll him like a log. He is a Big Government Statist from day one.

Fake Focus Group Calls Ron Paul Loser

Also in case some posters missed the Fox News debates, here's a link to the YouTube clips re: RP's responses to the 4 questions he was asked:

www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=86111

Postscript: the arrogant Mittster and his unstable lunatic compadre, McCrazy, are going to lose the GOP Pres candidacy and I am sooooo happy - especially since Mittster is using his own personal fortune to underwrite his predictable loss and McCrazy proves once again that there's no limit to how many times he can try and lose yet again. Those 2 mutts appear briefly in the clips. As for the mindless heaps of trash in the audience who guffawed and breyed when Carl Cameron asked Dr. Paul about his winnability quotient, when they become ill and need the help of a M.D. - professionals who are ranked as having the highest IQ's - let those donkeys think back to their rude punk behavior towards the only winner in the entire group of hucksters and liars and affirmative action candidates running for President of their country. These louts in the audience should consider themselves lucky that Dr. Paul has tossed his hat into the ring comprised of knaves and fools.

Mike does sound like a lovely guy from your report
it's ok with me he is a true believer
I am a true believer too, but just in different things
it is very nice he is not a hypocrite about religion, that I could not abide
I like when someone is sincere, no matter what their beliefs are
I respect all beliefs
it does credit to his character that you say he always tried to help the other guy

I have nothing whatsoever against Mike
I just want Ron Paul to be our President
and I do not thnk Mike is in the same league as Ron Paul
Mike sounds like a typical pol, who happens to be a very nice guy

Love, Palo

I couldn't help giggle when Mike was asked about wife submitting to husband on all things
it was naughty of Carl to ask that question
but look at the queston he asked Ron Paul right afterwards, about the truthers

but it's good for candidates to be asked all kinds of questions I think
why not?
it made the debate so interesting

tomoo7 - I'm glad you said what you did. I mentioned earlier in this thread that Fox was determined to be as mean to Huckabee as to Dr. Paul. Rupert Murdoch ( and the elites?) don't like Huckabee at all.

I thought that question was a cheap shot and it turns out it was actually taken out of Biblical New Testament context. I thought Huckabee's response was perfect - he did very well for himself and probably won over some undecided voters who fretted about how much his evangelical faith would make him too narrow focused. Huckabee made Carl Cameron regret asking him that question.

I didn't think the intentional back-stab by Carl Cameron was funny at all. I thought it was below the belt and uncalled for.

We Ron Paul supporters are outraged about the tough breaks that MSM have given to RP. But we should also be outraged about what cheap shots MSM delivers to other candidates. We want all the candidates to be on a level playing field and we should let media know when they are being unfair not only to RP but to others, because it means that they are openly abusing the power of the medium to de-select who they don't want for us.

what does apostate mean?

my hubby is very new to watching politics
he is a passionate devoted sports fan, that has been his whole life

now he watches CNN, when there is no game on

so far he likes Hillary Clinton, he likes John McCain, and he like Ron Paul
(he heard about Ron Paul from me)

does the Bible say I am supposed to give up supporting Ron Paul 100 percent
and go over to Bill's perception
wouldn't I be an idiot to do that
does the Bible think wimmin are idiots

I'm just kiddin' around here, I don't want to get anyone mad
sometimes it is fun to laugh

Love, Palo

O I forgot Hillary is now off the list, he found out she doesn't respect 2nd Amendment Rights,
which Bill believes in 100 percent
I wonder if I should tell him John McCain introduced a gun control bill in the Senate back in 2001?

It wouldn't be wrong if Carl Cameron asked all candidates those same type of "cheap shot" questions - ie. questions on matters that have zip zero to do with issues important to voters. On the list of issues ranked as important to US voters, I have never seen 9/11 truthers or New Testament verses included. Since Carl Cameron did not ask cheap shot meaningless questions of all the candidates - only with RP and Huckabee - then this becomes important because Fox is abusing its media powers to purposefully de-select Pres candidates Fox doesn't like. That's not fair or right. Aren't these TV stations using public air waves ie. public property in the course of running their businesses? Media should not abuse what we The People allow them to use gratis.

I'll tell ya all something interesting
most of the time when Ron Paul talked he shrugged his shoulders as he talked
his body language is the opposite of all the others

I haven't mentioned it before on thread, because I don't have an idea of what it means (if it is bad or good?)
my first thought was, "if I were talking to someone, and trying to communicate,
"and knew they didn't see it as I did, but I wanted to say my piece anyway
"I would shrug my shoulders too as I talked"
it's a way not to be pushy in someone's face

does anyone have a comment or perception on this?

Love, Palo

he didn't come across as insecure, I hope I am not giving that impression

my experience is that it will definitely help your outlook.

but I would not advise thinking that somehow the people are going to make everything 'right' in our country through the election process or through any process.

the people of this earth have never accomplished anything of significance unless their creator led them to it. If divine providence does not shine on us now, then none of our efforts will pay off.

I think you perceived it correctly - not pushy but nonetheless putting his ideas out there for others to consider - remember - especially tonight - he's was facing a none too friendly group of Fox news staff asking questions as well as competitive GOP colleagues. And tonight for the first time I noticed McCain and Mittster were openly laughing at Dr. Paul whenever he spoke, appearing to be dismissive of his remarks. The other candidates thankfully were polite and did not emulate the actions of the 2 swaggering punks.

I had not noticed that happen in previous debates. McCain must be feeling flush with victory from NH as though that means anything - McCain always wins in NH and then nose-dives thereafter. I don't get where Mittster got his wise-ass smirking arrogance towards Dr. Paul tonight - it's not like Mittster has wowed people in Iowa or NH. For all the personal $ Mittster has poured into losing campaigns in Iowa and NH, it should be Dr. Paul smirking at him.

the question was asked
both men answered
I think people's percepton of them will be based on their answers
not on the questions
as I said maybe there is something wrong with me
because you are angry about this
and I am not
and your posts are so logical

it wasn't a very nice queston to ask Ron Paul that Gomer asked either
"what makes you think you are even electable?"
but again I am glad Ron Paul had an opportunity to answer it

bottom line I think both men came out ahead from the unpleasant questions
and I still think it wasn't a crime, because it caught people's interest
they really listened hard to those answers
and as a result got to know both men better

Yeah, riggghttt, and why are we not surprised?

I don't get Hannity's popularity. He doesn't even have a college degree. He was some kind of carpenter or painter in Santa Barbara when he was "discovered." What friggin' academic credentials does he have to be an political news analyst? He probably has not read the constitution ever or a college level US history or political science textbook. brilliant Scrapper, exactly you got it!

this is perfect then, no?

O I didn't know they were being openly dismissive, then it makes it even more appropriate that Ron Paul spoke that way

because it communicates, "others may laugh at this, but this is how I see it..."

it was a nice way to keep his equilibirum and continue to communicate effectively, no?
