This is a somewhat misnamed thread, although the rest of his lecture may have focused on corporate media more.

At the end of the video, he mentions worldaffairsbrief.com - See "strategic threats of this decade.".

I thought about an Ezra Taft Benson quote when I posted this.

If America is destroyed, it may be by Americans who salute the flag, sing the national anthem, march in patriotic parades, cheer Fourth of July speakers – normally good Americans, but Americans who fail to comprehend what is required to keep our country strong and free, Americans who have been lulled away into a false security.

Stand up for Freedom: Ron Paul Vindicated by Ezra Taft Benson

Ron Paul is vindicated by other great Patriots in Government who were brutalized as the establishment sought to shut them up.

Here, Dwight Eisenhower's Secretary of Agriculture exposes traitors from within, this only an excerpt.
See http://awakeandarise.org/Benson.htm for the full speech given in 1965.)

He quotes Wait Whitman Rostow: "it is, therefore, an American interest to see an end of nationhood as it has been historically defined."White House Adviser Walt W. Rostow (The Campaign to Abolish the Constitution).

Benson gives 10 ways in which our Constitution is being attacked, even as far back as 1965. Today, we can see that many are completed, and are now accepted as normal. President Bush scoffs when his alliances with Canada, Mexico, and Europe are described as sacrifices of our sovereignty. And yet they are.

  1. Diplomatic relations and trade with communists.
  2. Disarmament of our military defenses.
  3. Destruction of our security laws, and the promotion of atheism imposed by the Supreme Court.
  4. Loss of sovereignty and solvency through membership in world organizations.
  5. Undermining of local law-enforcement authorities and of congressional investigative committees.
  6. Usurpations of power taken by executive and judicial branches of government.
  7. Lawlessness in the name of civil rights.
  8. Staggering national debt and inflation leading to the corruption of the currency.
  9. Multiplicity of executive orders and federal programs weakening the power of local and state governments.
  10. Young men sent to wars that our leaders have no intention to win.

I wish Ron Paul was a better communicator. He is good at expressing what's wrong in DC but his statements such as getting rid of the IRS requires a better solution than just getting rid of it.

He needs to explain more clearly how the people would benefit from removing federal authority and returning it to the states when he has interviews with media personel.

As one person describes him, "He bounces around like a ping pong ball when he is talking." That isn't going to get him the votes that he needs.

I share your concerns. I feel I'm doing the best I can by supporting him, but if he does not capture the zeal of the American people soon, he's not going to win. I can't blame Joe 6-Pack for failing to get enthusiastic about dismantling a department he's never heard about, such as the Federal Reserve.

But I think a lot of intelligent kids and college students are following the campaign and learning massive amounts of history and individualist values from Ron Paul's efforts. This is very encouraging by itself. Who'd have thought we would see such a thing in 2007 and 2008?

I strongly agree with you but much more is needed from RP. I'd love to sit down with him for just 15 minutes and explain the reasons behind the public perception of him as a kook. I see it on FR and it has to be simple ignorance combined with fright of unreasoned change. If the ladies over there understood the why we need RP and understood the reasons for making changes to their blessed federal government.

Out of all of the candidates there isn't a single conservative amongst them. I find that disusting and frightening.

If you have a bit of time, perhaps you could call the campaign with your credentials and get past the filters to convey your ideas.
