But the Ann Arbor chauffeur whose long shot bid for president gained him national notoriety had more verve than usual; he was about to stir the national political pot still simmering from Tuesday's surprising New Hampshire primary. The 41-year-old father of eight said he was watching C-SPAN and was pleasantly surprised to see a tally of 50 votes with just 12 percent of returns in early Tuesday night. About an hour later his total went as high 187 votes. By primary's end, he officially received 44 votes, but insists he had more that seemingly disappeared. Howard, among 42 lesser-known candidates who paid the $1,000 fee to appear on that state's primary ballot, returned to New Hampshire Thursday to officially challenge the results. He said New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner could not explain what happened and told him that a recount was the only way to confirm the final tally. Gardner could not be reached for comment this morning. Howard said deep-pocketed supporters whom he would not name offered to foot the $2,000 fee and bought his last-minute airfare so he could meet the recall deadline. Howard said he doesn't expect to win and he doesn't know if the recount will have any ramifications for GOP contenders. But he believes a few hundred votes could have garnered more exposure and support. "I know I had more than 44 votes in my heart and who knows? Maybe I would've been covered and gotten more attention and some momentum," he said. Howard will not appear on ballot in Michigan's presidential primary election on Tuesday. (1 image)

I love it
I made the right decision to leave Goldi's site when I did I bet Goldi is glad I am not there too, her site is for Duncan Hunter sometimes things work out best for all...
I hope that Goldi can forgive me for complaining about the MCA and PatriotAct votes of Mr. Hunter. His perceptions of how to win the war on Islamism seems to be out of perspective, as well. (I think our national debt in foreign aid and military expenditures in the war are a bigger national security threat.) I can't vote for Hunter, no matter how much the border issue worries me. I have my priorities. I think he is a good man, but he paid less attention to our eternal civil liberties than our temporary safety.
I am sure Goldi would go anything to keep you as poster on LP LOL you are contender for Most Valuable Poster award

it would be unnerving to be there during primary season,
and have Ron Paul articles pulled while I am in middle of posting to them
plus it was distracting the posters who came on Ron Paul threads to sneer, or to start fights
