Cost of recount in NH - $55,600 - deadline tomorrow

According to the official letter that Albert Howard signed, the cost is $55,600 for the recount of approximately 240,000 ballots.
The Secretary of State must receive the money in the form of a certified check by 3 PM tomorrow January the 15th.

Go to http://grannywarrior.chip... to donate. We need a major effort of all to raise this money by the deadline.

Spread the word, blog about it, send e-mails , get on the phone, do everything you can to make this happen.

When we have come this far, don't leave us hanging...

I trust you do your best.

Albert Howard

Update from NH

To all supporting or considering supporting the recount effort.

I am writing to share with you what I know about the New Hampshire Recount process.

At this time the paper ballots are sealed and in the possession of the Towns and Cities where they were cast. As with all great magicians the greatest illusions are done right before our eyes, and this is our concern with the Diebold Scanners and voting machines.

Past demonstrations have shown that these machines could skew the vote without the public or election officials knowing anything has happened. For this reason we have asked for a HAND RECOUNT of the ENTIRE STATE.

For anyone who may be concerned that a potential fraud could be covered up between now and Wednesday please sit back and consider this.

I live in New Hampshire because of the quality of life, a quality that starts with the honest hard working people who live here. Just think, for any funny business to take place from this point on, it would have to be a massive coordinated effort in over two hundred cities and towns, done right in front of the good people who live here. To pull that off in a few days would take real magic.

Now back to the processâ?¦. The Sec. of State will provide State Police Escort for the officials picking up the sealed paper ballots, each person who handles the ballots at any time will have to sign off on a ledger just like when you send registered mail. From there they will go to the location chosen for the recount. Each candidate can have their own team of observers if they so choose. Some of the logistics of the vote count still need to be worked out and as we (all those supporting Albert Howardâ??s efforts) are paying for the Recount we will have some input into the process. I personally suggested several video cameras streaming live to monitors and to the Internet. They liked the idea but we will definitely need help from our more tech savvy supporters.

Let's keep up the positive excitement and make this thing happen.

Sincerely,

Eric Subscribe to *Ron Paul for President 2008*

What's to stop the RP campaign from chipping in for this little effort?

Maybe emails to the campaign could get that done.

If you hit reply do they ever answer?

Your nearest Meetup Group captain (I think that's the term), might be interested in your experience. Perhaps he could forward something and get through to someone who would reply.

I just don't believe McCain has that much support anywhere. Mitt should agree.

My comment was a sarcastic reference to Mitt's treasure chest.

The folks in NH know their neighbor very well. The results were close to the polling results for Mitt vs McCain. I do not question that result. Romney is 9 points ahead in the MI returns, his home state.

IMO, that may very well be the best he'll do outside of Mormon land. Don't bother to bring up the little Wyoming caucus joke. That only tells me that the Dims may not sweep 50 states.
