I don't think Ron and his campaign people have had that much experience campaigning
As far as I know, once Ron got elected Congressman
his constituents are crazy about him and he runs unopposed every Term

I have just consulted with Karnac the Great's father, Izzy, and he is predicting a 5th place finish for RP in MI. Please don't shoot the messenger; I'm simply a conduit to the other side.

I am not trying to be confrontational because that would be stupid but, I just can't help but asking: what good does it do his campaigning in Michigan or even his taking 10 or 20% of the vote there (expect single digits again) if, in the end, we will be blessed with Rudy, or Romny or Hilly or maybe Obamy for the next 8 years?

I, in fact, have the answer: it does not good whatsoever. RP should be using his campaign millions either to run as an independent (too late now) or, if he can't separate himself from the Stupid party, then fund some Libertarian think tank. Him running around in GOP primaries, pretending that he is a Republican does no one no good.

This is my opinion, too. I've tried to say so, but my point isn't getting across. I think it's a technical issue. Right now he gets free publicity as an "also ran" in the G®P primaries, and debating with them. Think about it.

Right, he goes on those debates, makes a few points in a hurry, before they cut off his mike or tell him to shut up and then people go vote and he gets 8% from the party who is solidly behind Bush.

Let me see... what's the lasting impression this leaves? The lasting impression is that talking about not bombing other poor souls or about living within our means and about starving the statist beast is 'not mainstream'.

And The First Exit Polls in Michigan Say...

I'm surprised no one else has put this up yet. I'm hearing the first round of exit polls have Romney 35, McCain 29, Huckabee 15, Ron Paul 10, Giuliani 4. This doesn't count absentee ballots.

If this holds, the networks will be able to announce shortly after 9 p.m. eastern time...

Of course, all the standard disclaimers apply, and the later voters may differ from the early rounds, and the polls are still open, so if you're a Michigander, go out and vote for your favorite.

I think it has to do with the fact that almost all of the mainstream media is headquatered in NYC and they look at him as "the home team." That and the fact that he's as liberal as Liberachi was gay.

Let this be a lesson to those who think blind optimism tops the realism of a corrupt system. RP never got off the ground b/c they couldn't allow him to get off the ground. If anyone after tonight can continue hoping against hope, they aren’t grounded in reality. It's time to call the blimp home, pack up the balloons and watch the carnival from the sidelines. Come November '08 there will be nobody worth voting for, and if there is some Independent/libertarian candidate running 3rd party, Diebold will be waiting in the wings.

it means Ron knocked out Fred and Rudy there

Jethro, 114 thouand citizens have given cold hard cash to Ron Paul campaign
including many soldiers serving in our military now
I have no quarrel with you giving up on Ron Paul or disparaging anyone who doesn't

but I am in this till the end, and I know he will win
so what if I am the only one who "knows" he will win, and everyone else just hopes he will win

we are determined to save our country, putting Ron Paul in the White House is the way
we will succeed

Love, Palo

I don't understand why anyone would give up at such an early date
when so much depends upon our winning
we are saving our country from police state and fascism
that is worth fighting for

there is a big advantage to Ron Paul being in 4th place now
when I watched Iowa results on FOX
they only showed the first 4 candidates in the box which stayed on screen

if they are doing same thing this time
then every single person watching it will know Ron Paul is serious contender for Prez

I asked my magic 8-ball if Paul was going to win. It came up with an answer, but I forgot my glasses can't read the print on the little triangle thingy. I take this as a sign that something is going to happen, but we don't know what.

I am psychic you know.

Please edit out the following from this post:

< html >< head >< meta content="Adobe PageMill 3.0 Win" name="GENERATOR" >< meta content="20; URL=race2.htm" http-equiv="REFRESH" >< meta content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv="Content-Type" >< title >Viewing Races Results - LeaderPlus< /title >< /head >
It should be right at the top of the post. The meta refresh is causing a problem.

Last night I went to bed seeking a vision about Ron Paul.

I dreamed I was in a Lawn and Garden Center buying tomato plants. I was afraid to go up the the register and pay for them because I was completely naked for some reason. I found an old Santa Clause suit on the ground left over from Christmas. It was too small for me and the only thing I could get on was the beard and the Santa hat. As I paid for the tomato plants I explained to the people at the counter that I wasn't wearing pants because I was Santa's half brother Naked Clause. They seemed to accept this. When I left the Lawn and Garden center I discovered that I was actually on a boat surrounded by water.

I take this dream as a sign that Ron Paul will beat Hillary Clinton by 52% to 48% in the popular vote.

well it seems Ron Paul came in 4th
he beat Rudy and Fred, he trailed the other 3, who each have won one State now
I am hoping Ron will come in 3rd in South Carolina

if we keep moving up, we will be fine

no one said this would be easy, but we are trying to pull off a revolution
God willing, we will succeed
Love, Palo

Palo, although I did contribute to his campaign, I never for an instant thought he’d win, so I’m not giving up on him. What amazes me about some bright and politically astute fellow travelers is the faith they hold in this rotten, stinking system. Given all you know about Diebolt, what makes you believe the Establishment would allow RPs (s)election, thus ensuring their destruction? For a fellow kindred spirit from NYC, I’d think the stench of corruption would be something you’d have noticed quicker.

Who has faith in it? We just have to overwhelm it, that's all.

How do you overwhelm a computer system programmed to deliver victory to a pre- selected candidate?
