It's Elementary is meant to be a training video for homosexual activist teachers across the country. well, I for one don't think that the pro-homosexual propaganda in schools is a good idea. The large majority of parents agree with me as well. and we should recall that it is Republicans who are now in charge of the Department of Education. Republicans also greatly increased funding of the DOE under Bush and passed laws to further empower it. Schools all over the country are beholden to the DOE for funding. They must follow rules & policies of the federal gov closely in order to get that funding. We must realize that it is Republicans now who are behind this propaganda.

It sometimes seems that the religious right contributes more to moving the line away from parental rights than their "opponents". This is why States Rights is such an important issue to me. If I had kids I couldn't afford to sent to private school, I don't know that I'd want them learning curriculum insisted upon by weirdos in either San Francisco OR Birmingham. We did pretty good in Kokomo before creation of Department of Education, now they're shooting themselves in the crotch up there.

that's the way I feel. In 2004 so many religious right types wanted us to vote republican to protect us from the homosexuals. But the republicans were in charge of the dept of education at that time. and the schools were doing this pro-homosexual indoctrination. I don't have anything against individual homosexuals that I know, but to indoctrinate children in this manner and against the will of the parents is wrong.

It's social engineering that is evil, no matter ho much it fits into one's personal worldview. I've always found "the left" an easier target for two reasons: 1)they are more up front about their intentions but once these neocons entered the picture that equasion in gone with the wind.

Our last hope for peace I dont know what the ratio of sex acts to AIDS infections is, but just to assign a number, lets say it's 1 per 100 incidents of unprotected sex. Then invent a revolver that has 100 chambers. This is what I will use to teach your kids to play Russian Roulette, because I judge it to be a legit lifestyle activity. Tell that to Magic Johnson. Wasn't too long ago that lots of folks were dying of heterosexual sex. My wife, bless her heart, couldn't dilate to deliver when she was pregnant with both of our kids. She'd have been dead, had that happened 100 years ago. Life is just plain dangerous.

Gay sex is risky, at least more risky than masturbation. But what about all the other risky behaviors that we encourage in children, just because they're more "acceptable" to Jeebus than loving another person of the same gender? Skydiving? Private pilot? Driving? Convenience store clerk? Every male kid at age 5 wants to be a firefigher--what's THEIR death rate?

Our last hope for peace We sent our kids to Montessori preschool. At the beginning of each year, there's a dopey Q-and-A with other parents, and among the things they want you to share is why you chose this school. My answer: "Because we're not Christian, and we didn't want to see the Government school screw our kids up." More than a couple other parents nodded in agreement.

I'm a federal firearms licensee and a big-L Libertarian. I don't have time for PTA meetings or the like because I can't stand bullshit political machinations, and that's always what those meetings turn into. As a big-L Libertarian, I feel that any consensual activities my kids want to take part in are fine with me, once they hit the age of majority; hell, if I told them they *couldn't* have gay sex, that'd be the first thing they did when they moved out of the house anyway.

Hmm, if my parents told me this, I'd have said "no problem". And for every "Magic" Johnson, there are how many tens of thousands that arent so fortunate? I've seen a few pics, and read a few stories about these patients, and it isnt pretty. But you're right, it's a dangerous world. Why not mitigate some of the danger? Look at the numbers. How many die of AIDS vs skydiving, flying, etc? It's not even in the same league.

Frankly, I think it's obscene that government, whose responsibility it is along with society as whole, to protect children is not taking proper care to convey the true facts about homosexuality. As you say, PSUSA, there is no need to moralize about the gay life style. But certainly it is necessary to state the facts including that gays face an abbreviated life span. It should be pointed out that unless one has the constitution of Magic Johnson ( which 99.9% of people do not)active male gays are unlikely to live beyond an average age of 42. As for condoms, educators can talk until they are blue in the face about the wonders of condom protection against AIDS, but unfortunately the gay community itself has rejected condom use in the real world outside the classroom, which is ironic that it should do so being at greatest risk for acquiring AIDS, but not surprising considering that homosexuality is not only a sexual preference but also a life style that is one largely defined by risk-taking behavior. And as you point out, PSUSA, even if condoms were used 100% of the time by gays, when a deadly disease has beset the community, is the condom a perfect weapon to tout as a protection against AIDS? Condoms are frequently imperfect either by improper use or in some cases due to defective design, as many heteros discover to their chagrin when they advised that "baby is on the way" despite their strict use of condoms. And it goes without saying that getting pregnant is not nearly as life threatening as getting AIDS.
Millions may be doing it, but many homosexuals are fu*ked up in the head. Happy? That's a term used loosely.

Scrapper, my post wasn't directed at you, not that I minded having you respond... ;). I still keep getting the "to" and "from" fields mixed up. But, how much smaller is the HIV virus as opposed to a sperm cell? Even if there is surface tension due to this being a liquid, that it sometimes fails to even stop a comparatively huge sperm cell speaks volumes about using condoms to prevent AIDS. I read somewhere, and I cannot find it again so I cannot say that this is fact, that the built-in tolerances for condom defects is comparable to a hula-hoop and the HIV virus is like a quarter being thrown thru that hula-hoop.
