Wow, Huckabee just stole the words right out of Ron Paul's mouth. He said the stimulus package will be borrowed from China and we will buy stuff that is made in China anyways, so whose economy are we stimulating?

Unbelievable.

I heard a congressman or senator on the radio today quoted saying the exact same thing. I guess it is popular to let us know how concerned they are, how they feel our pain, how they understand.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I can't bring myself to watch their 3rd grade attempts to smear, sideswipe and otherwise broadside the only HONORABLE CONSERVATIVE AMERICA-FIRSTER LEFT IN THE RACE FOR POTUS! That, of course, is Ron Paul...

We borrow money from China to give to the American peasants to buy stuff from China. Sounds about right.

People say "Oh that is great! Ron Paul is having an impact on the ideas in the election."

Bullcrap. The other candidates copy him because they know people want to hear it. Once the election is over, the other candidates forget they ever said it. Like Reagan and the Dept. of Education. Before he was elected, Ronnie said "get rid of it!" Afterwards, he never heard of it.

Yeah I got one for you.

Either the Huckabee campaign has the Cliff Notes on Ron Paul, or there is a dirty rat in the Paul campaign.

No wonder he's still a neocon favorite.

It will be. Huckabee is the only one stealing ideas. The other three are still careening down the path of national suicide.

Here we go with the Fair Tax again. The philosophy is still the same, that the government has the right to your money. Huckabee just wants to change the way they collect it.

but Bush and Reagan were political enemies before the convention.

but Bush and Reagan were supposedly political enemies before the convention.

The way I heard it, and I believe it, there was a dinner before the convention, with three people; Reagan, Bush, and ..... wait for it, here it comes.... Are you ready?! David Rockefeller. It was at that dinner that David R. offered Ronnie Boy the Presidency, provided..... that Bush was the V.P.

And now, looking back, we see what the plan was, do we not? And make no mistake about it, Ol Bushy was the real president, esp. after Ronnie Boy had his little gunfire accident. Kinda like ol Cheney now.

When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, he will either quit being mistaken or cease to be honest.

Nobody knows this, but Bush and Reagan were political enemies

A LOT of people knew this. And Reagan himself DAMN WELL knew he shouldn't have caved in to David Rockefeller's demands to appoint his boy veep when the veepster's hit man nearly killed him barely two months after being inaugurated.

It is often said that the Hinckley assassination attempt was the beginning of the GHW Bush de facto presidency, which then lasted nearly 12 agonizing years.

I found the following interesting. Reagan was scheduled to go meet with David Rockefeller next at the time he was shot. This gave the Rockster an ironclad alibi: "Whaddya mean, I had Reagan shot? I was about to meet with him!"

He was scheduled to return to the White House for a meeting with four Republican members of the House Ways and Means Committee, a courtesy call from banker David Rocketfeller and the Japanese and French co-chairmen of the Trilateral Commission and a dinner with two of his Cabinet members, Secretary of the Treasury Donald Regan and Secretary of Health and Human Services Richard S. Schweiker, and their wives.

Somewhere I have read that Reagan was aware enough and paranoid enough about what was happening that he demanded to be taken to GWU rather than Bethesda, because he didn't trust the latter's doctors as they were GHW Bush's men.

The family of the man charged with trying to assassinate President Reagan is acquainted with the family of Vice-President George Bush and had made large contributions to his political campaign ... Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr. was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the Vice-President's sons ... The Houston Post said it was unable to reach Scott Hinckley, vice-president of his father's Denver-based firm, Vanderbilt Energy Corp, for comment. Neil Bush lives in Denver, where he works for Standard Oil Co of Indiana. In 1978, Neil Bush served as campaign manager for his brother, George W. Bush, the Vice-President's eldest son, who made an unsuccessful bid for Congress. Neil lived in Lubbock, Texas, throughout much of 1978, where John Hinckley lived from 1974 through 1980.

The worst part of Ronald Reagan's legacy was his enabling of the Bush family. I Reagan hadn't appointed Bush I (who was bad enough), Bush II and the rest of his slimy family would never have become major playors.

I wonder if Reagan had lived long enough and in good mental health if he would have regretted it.

I hadn't heard that, but I certainly don't doubt it.

Ronnie got the message, though.
