A Biblical World & Life Home School Curriculum
The 90-plus free books and 800-plus free newsletters on this site introduce Christians to the fundamental principles for building a Bible-based Christian worldview, also called a Christian world-and-life view. A Bible-based Christian worldview is the first step in building a permanently free society.
There is no neutrality. Christians must begin with the Bible in education, not with the assumption of the autonomy of their own minds.
The books and resources on this site are ideal for Christian education, especially a home school curriculum. Most of them can be used in an advanced Christian student's high school curriculum. Because these educational resources are free, Christian home school parents can save money on their high school curriculum costs. (Saving money is an important goal.)
Many of these educational resources are suitable for high school curriculum requirements in these areas: Christian history, Bible, government, economics, education, creationism, and other topics that require a self-conscious Christian worldview to interpret them correctly.
These books and other resources will help to immunize college-bound Christian home school students against the secular humanism of the college classroom.
Home school parents who find some of these Christian educational resources useful may want to send a link to this page to other home school parents who are also looking for free high school curriculum materials.
The Bible Gives God's Rules for All of Life Maybe you're tired of hearing the old line: "The Bible isn't a textbook of [ ]." The person who says this is really saying: "I don't want to subject my conclusions to what the Bible says. I don't want to re-think my life's work in terms of the Bible. The Bible doesn't tell me what to think!"
We've heard this before: "Hath God said?" (Gen. 3:1). The answer is clear: "If it's in the Bible, then God hath said!" This Web site will provide you with more Bible- based ammunition than you've ever seen before to let you answer the old "Hath God said?" question.
A pastor once lamented: "I came to this church expecting an armory. I found a nursery." This website was not designed for Christians who are comfortable in a spiritual nursery.
You also get a powerful on-line search engine that lets you access the resources on this site. This will save you research time.

Steal These Books!
If you mention www.freebooks.com as your source for any book, you are allowed to put up to five books from this site onto a CD-ROM. You are authorized sell copies of such a CD-ROM or give it away. You can lawfully include these five books with other materials.
The only other restrictions are these: (1) you are not authorized to sell individual printed copies of the books, since the paper-printed version is retained by each copyright holder; (2) you are not allowed to post these resources on another website. (Links to any document on this site are fine, of course.)
A REVOLUTIONARY NEW TECHNOLOGY
This site uses a new imaging technology, which was developed by AT&T: DjVu. This technology compresses any scanned document by five-to-one or even ten-to-one. This makes downloading an image at least five to ten times faster than downloading a PDF file. (It also eats up a lot less disk space on a website.)
DjVu preserves an almost perfect image of the original document, which PDF does not allow. It is perfect for posting books, original newsletters, maps, photos, diaries, and any other historical document. You can print out one page or an entire book.
A book's image that is posted in DjVu has exactly the same number of pages as the original. It has the same pagination, which is important for citations in an academic paper or thesis.
But this technology is not just for reprinting old books. DjVu makes it easier, faster, and more effective to publish new books on-line. Freebooks adds new books every year - not just new postings of old books.
To read the books and the newsletters, you will need a copy of the free DjVu reader. Download the DjVu Plug- in in about two minutes, depending on your modem's speed, by clicking here:
www.djvuzone.org/download.html
Once it's on your hard drive, whenever you click on a DjVu link to a book or a newsletter, the DjVu reader will pop up automatically. It works the way Adobe Acrobat's Reader works, only much faster.
We also post the books in HTML, but there are a lot of typographical errors. The pagination doesn't match the original books. You can get free books without DjVu, but they won't have the accuracy of DjVu.
After you have downloaded the DjVu Plug-in Reader, click the Back button several times until you return to this page. Then go to the top of this page and click the link to enter the site's Main Area.
