Title: The Lesser Evil - Is It Obama?

Discussing reality, absent some improbable catastrophic discontinuity, one of these 4 is going to be replacing Bush in the WH:

McCain, Romney, Hillary, Obama.

Sadly, the only criterion other than 'gut feelings' that could be applied to favor one of the 4 is 'the lesser evil'.

On the GOP side, the lesser evil is Romney. On the Demo side the lesser evil is Obama-mama.

Between Romney and Obama... Obama is probably the lesser evil. Both Romney and Obama will find it more difficult to expand the Prez power, Romney because he's a Mormonist and Obama because he's a half-Black (African-American-American?) but it would probably be more difficult for Obama to abuse his powers because he will be constantly fear for his life while in office.

Thoughts?

You know, at this stage of our collapse, I don't think that it makes any difference.

Congress won't declare any 'wars,' they won't pass any 'budgets,' they won't hold anyone responsible for any acts of treason...why not vote for a hottie?

She couldn't do any worse than BigDick and the chimperor, could she?

She is no better or worse that the rest of the heap. She did give a terrific speech and if Obama can be elevated to sainthood for his power of oration, Sarah at least deserves honorary mention.

Yeah - at this level, it's a joke.

No matter who wins, I want the President to be of a different party than Congress, so we will have gridlock.

Absolutely right. We can't hope for anything good to come out of Washington, so the best option for us is for as little to happen as possible. Otherwise, every step is a step backwards or sideways.

The best scenario would be a GOP Congress with Obama as President. Congress will pass, Obama will veto. Obama will appoint, Congress will block. And so on for four years. The irony is that Obama will oppose bills passed by a GOP Congress that he'd support if they were passed by Democrats, and vice-versa. It's all part of the partisan politics game.

McCain as President with a Democratic Congress is slightly worse, because McCain has a good track record of working with Democrats.

It's Palin

She's George W. Bush with different plumbing. When she started on about how the war in Iraq was part of God's plan, I thought to myself "Haven't we heard enough of this shit over the past 8 years." That shouldn't be anyone's idea of a lesser evil.

As for McCain vs. Obama, it's basically a toss-up. McCain is Bush on crystal meth, Obama is Clinton on crack.

It's Palin.

She gets my vote for snake-in-the-grass.

At this point, while neither ticket is to my liking, a friend of mine pointed out that Obama has been a big supporter of all the "Mental Hellth" State measures such as the Orwellian "New Freedom" Iniative to screen every kid in America so the Pharma companies can sell them drugs, along with the Mother Act to put a "Case Worker" with every birth. This is all stuff of the 1984 mode and I am beginning to tip toward voting against Oh'Bummer by voting for McLame.

Not a pleasant choice but while the lesser evil is still evil it is still a lesser evil.

People settling for the "lesser evil" is the reason why we only get non-choices like Obama or McCain, Bush or Kerry, Bush or Gore, Clinton or Dole, in elections.

And when it comes to 1984 mode, you can bet McCain will do all he can to jam an expanded Patriot Act down your throat.

When Russia was under Communism the party leaders always got 90% or more of the votes, it's the same in the USA under Zionism, except the stupid goys have been duped into believing the Republicrats are two different parties.

Black Obama is just as likely to start World War Three as McSwein. Rational human beings will vote third party or not vote al all.

I know, I know. I was trying to decide between Chuck Baldwin, Daffy Duck, and Bugs Bunny. I don't like the option, but I have been opposed to the Mental Hellth State since before the current non-choice. It's like gargling with glass sherds to even say it, but the summary a friend of mine gave me forced me into a reassessment. Oh'Bummer seems never to have found a big Pharma feeding Bill that he didn't like, and it shows in the contributions. 180,000 to Oh'Bummer from Big Pharma and 41,000 to McNuts. I despise McLame but the more I learn about Oh'Bummer the more I perceive him to be a bigger threat.

Likely true, but it would have to get through a Demoncrat Controlled CONgress which will not want to give him anything. As well the public is waking up in larger numbers to the threats against our liberties. With any luck he'll die his first two years in office leaving an able woman, who while I disagree with on a wide range of issues, is by far better than Oh'Bummer.

So, the game is still playing.

Palin is what you call fake opposition, a false flag operation to win Ron Paul supporters and others back into the GOP/neocon fold. People like Palin use libertarian and independent-sounding rhetoric as bait to catch gullible voters on the neocon hook.

Judging by the people here, the strategy seems to be working.
