Discussing reality, absent some improbable catastrophic discontinuity, one of these 4 is going to be replacing Bush in the WH: McCain, Romney, Hillary, Obama.
Sadly, the only criterion other than 'gut feelings' that could be applied to favor one of the 4 is 'the lesser evil'.
On the GOP side, the lesser evil is Romney. On the Demo side the lesser evil is Obama-mama.
Between Romney and Obama... Obama is probably the lesser evil. Both Romney and Obama will find it more difficult to expand the Prez power, Romney because he's a Mormonist and Obama because he's a half-Black (African-American-American?) but it would probably be more difficult for Obama to abuse his powers because he will be constantly fear for his life while in office.
