Will Huckabee fold now as well ?

By andy_oh | February 7, 2008

Many think Huckabee made a deal with McCain to stay in and suck votes off Romney, will Huckabee now announce he’s dropping out ? and where will this leave Ron Paul ?

As it stands now (right after Romney’s speach) I think the Republican party is trying to hand the election over to McCain. Since Romney based it all on McCain’s willingness to continue and increase this “war on terror” and he believes McCain can win against a democrat as a warmonger.

McCain now stands a better shot at getting more delegates with upcoming primaries and they seem to be working towards avoiding a brokered convention.

I don’t think Huckabee wants to drop out, but he could be getting pressure from the Republican party to do just that.

Ron Paul needs some big numbers in the upcoming primaries. The republican party is sabotaging this election and the only thing that can stop it is dividing the delegates so that McCain doesn’t reach the magic number.

IMO

some people had speculated he had made a deal with McCain to suck votes from Romney and that Huckster was promised a position in any future McCain administration for it.

Yesterday McCain made the call for "party unity", that was a hint for the other dogs to roll over.

Once Huck is finished there will NOTHING to broker at the convention. Not a thing.

If Paul announces that I will quit sitting on my wallet and "throw" more money his way, just to make a statement.

Did you know Paul cant win???? So who cares?

I'd have him use what left of his funds for advertising stadium size meet n greets, donations at the door.

The message is well accepted once heard.

Hucksterbee will be kept in for two reasons:

1. It provides a pretext to ignore Ron Paul.

2. He is needed to maintain the pretense that the voters are choosing McInsane.

The problem, as I have maintained for months, is (s)Elect a Republican Candidate who cannot win against Hitlery. That was a tall order as she is terminally unpopular so the Controllers needed a Republican candidate who was more despised, and had as many, if not more, skeletons to be pulled up as needed.

So, Huckster will be kept in because he is a useful tool to preserve the pretense that we are actually having a valid election.

It's time for Huckabee to fold like a well-used revival flyer ;-)

Ron Paul gave 3 delegates to Huckabee to help him win WVA.

Paul has $$, but Huckabee doesn't. They will probably both hang in all the way to the convention and see what they can accomplish there.

But after looking at the turnout for Democrat party, compared with the total # of GOP votes cast, it seems highly likely that we'll see either Hillary or Obama in the WH.
