The only solution to this mess is to dig a hole big enough to nudge them all in and cover quickly

Supporters Please See this !!!! Ron Paul delegates!

By Pinkpoppy | February 11, 2008

know many of you are bummed about Super Tuesday BUT THAT IS BECAUSE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE ELECTION SYSTEM WORKS: Let me explain to you the reality of how to become the nominee.

First stop looking at who wins each states popular vote for most of these states the vote by the people is really nothing but a straw poll and have no real bearing on who will become the nominee. The only way This matters is if 1 person receives 1192 delegates that are bound by state rules to be committed to that candidate. So if a candidate like McCain has 600 delegates now and he doesn’t reach 1192 most of the delegates the state awarded him mean nothing and keep in mind in most of the states most of the people that represent the 600 for McCain are actually Ron Paul supporters. NOW there is no possible way that anyone in the race can achieve this goal now because of the major split in state wins by the candidates.

Normally Convention Delegates do not matter because the convention is not brokered and we have a clear winner. BUT THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT. This will be a brokered convention there is no way around it. Do you see how the Ron Paul campaign strategy will work.

When a candidate wins delegates by winning a primary that does not mean there are actual people that won acting as delegates- these are virtual delegates.

What do I mean by virtual delegates: A virtual delegate is just a number - there are no actual people YET that will go and vote for the candidate who won the particular state at the national convention. We call these people convention delegates

The actual delegates are voted on (in most states) at a statewide delegate caucus after the Primary (which is just a giant preference poll) Who can be delegates? Anyone. In closed Primary states they must be registered Republicans, in Open Primary states they can be Republicans, Democrats, Independents.

And we have lots of delegates.

So what happens now you ask? You look at the number of delegates that Dr. Paul has that are uncommitted to the other candidates and will support him. these delegates are not decided by the popular vote ie: straw poll of the people. Since no one will have enough delegates to skate them through to the nomination we now must look at how many delegates NOT VOTES but delegates Dr. Paul has that are 100% uncommitted to the other candidates and will be 100% for Dr. Paul and are free to vote for whom they wish.

This race will go all the way to the convention for there is no other way for someone to receive the nomination until the convention.

The RNC will convene its annual Winter Meeting - and voters will continue to cast their ballots in the nation’s primaries and caucuses. Candidates for delegate and alternate delegate to the convention will be elected - and thousands of convention participants and guests will begin planning their trips to Minneapolis- Saint Paul The first week in September 2008

SO WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

This means that all of the people that registered to become a delegate for Dr. Paul can go to the convention and cast their vote for Dr. Paul, now think about what i just said : Do you think for one second that all the people that voted for Dr. Paul and filed to become a delegate will not show up at the convention to vote for the good Doctor? Of course they will just like they battled the rain and the sleet and the 15 below zero winter weather to knock on doors and wave signs spreading our message.

Now i assure you that even though we didn’t win the popular vote in many states WE DID PICK UP THE MAJORITY OF DELEGATES THAN ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES IN MOST EVERY STATE EXCEPT A FEW. So yes they won the straw poll and we won what counts which is delegates.

Doesn’t Dr. Paul need to WIN 5 states to be on the ballot at the convention for the nomination?

NO THIS IS NOT TRUE for people were just confused on how it actually works.

We only need the majority of delegates from 5 states to be put on the ballot NOT THE POPULAR VOTE OF 5 STATES and i assure you we have picked up the majority of uncommitted delegates for Dr. Paul in more than 5 states.

Do any of you remember seeing posts by myself and many others that said BECOME A DELEGATE? There is still time in most states to become a delegate for the convention and we are picking up more of them every day.

So please STOP you worry too much because you do not understand how the election system works and you thought we lost didn’t you?

The fact is Dr. Paul is a genius in his strategy and we are further ahead in delegates than you think and we can win the nomination.

I hope this gives a better understanding of how we have been winning even though most of you thought we were not.

NOW LET’S KEEP WORKING!

i hear you loud and clear.. i became a deleate here in WA state just a couple days ago.. it was SUPER easy… precincts usually are pretty small turnouts… the building we were in has 70 precincts and only 2 of them had more than 10… what does that mean? i understand it way more now that i went through it… it REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE if you canvass your precinct and just get at least 5 people to come with you to you precinct caucus… most of the time, that is all it takes… unless you are in a VERY aware and competitive precinct, which most are not. i was the ONLY ron paul supporter in my little precinct of 5 people and i got one out of two spots! CAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE TOO LAZY TO BE DELEGATES or DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS. many thing just signing your presidential preference is the main thing… their unknowingness is our benefit right now… TAKE ACTION AND BECOME A DELEGATE. i know that sounds redundant but i understand that even MORE after i went through the process.

Update on delegate count

youdecide08.foxnews.com.....unt-tally/

Candidate Delegates Mike Huckabee 234 John McCain 719 Ron Paul 14 Mitt Romney 298 Total 1,265

McCain needs 1,191 to win the nomination.

1,191 - 719 = 472

McCAIN needs 472 more delegates by June to win the GOP nomination.

I believe only VT and Washington, D.C. are the only contests remaining that are “winner take all.”

472 is alot of delegates to go.

Huckabee and Paul are going to prevent McCAIN from getting those delegates. He didn’t win squat last night.

I’m not giving up on a brokered convention until the clock his zero.

“It ain’t over ’till it’s over.”

Damn right, Yogi.

Just thought I would Share this with you guys!! Trust me it is good news!!!

By Savage206 | February 10, 2008

This is a compilation of two different email I have recieved from the Washington State Ron Paul campaign HQ. Her name is Molly and she has done a really good job helping to oorganize us here in Washington!! Ok here ya go:

Hello everyone,

By our very preliminary count from you reports it is looking like we have at least twice the delegates as the other candidates!!

For this day and until the count shows otherwise I want you to congratulate yourselves for WINNING Washington State for Ron Paul!!

I wish I could share every single story I have heard over the past few days and all the happy reports from Ron Paul enclaves in WA towns I have never even heard of!

Please know this…the National Campaign is seeing these kind of successes all over the country…Every day that goes by we have new supporters and new contributers. I can’t believe I am saying this…I thought certainly I would sleep for 4 days once the 9th was over…but I am already so excited to prepare for our County Conventions!! The next few weeks are going to be very important…There were stories from almost every precinct about Huckabee and Romney voters changing their support to Ron Paul. Unfortunately some of the biggest threats to the Freedom Revolution can still come from within…our own perceptions…please read Ron’s letter again until you see the part that states he we are going to the National Convention! You know things have changed every day in this campaign with new information and new victories changing the course…now we have given him Washington and made the road to the Minneapolis a lot more golden!!

I will update you all when we get more final results…

You all did a wonderful job. Just wonderful.

Thank you for all you do!

Maureen McMahan Moore

Washington State Coordinator Ron Paul 2008

This part was sent out yesterday!!!

I got to count all of the ballots for district 43! Rode in the car with the person who had custody of the ballots to their office and another Paul supporter and I were there the whole time. Mike was actually entering the data into the spreadsheet while I watched one of their people open the envelopes. They were extremely fair and careful and even a couple of times caught a something that I nearly missed that ensured an extra Paul vote. I also caught a couple of near-misses that wound up being McCain votes, so we’re even.

It was so amazing – I can’t tell you how amazing – to sign in every Paul supporter who was in line at my caucus and see everyone’s faces, and then one by one recognize everyone’s name on the sign-in sheets, and then see them win their delegate slots, and hear Paul’s name called out by these McCain supporting GOP guys in their own office. I almost choked up a couple of times!

You guys did an amazing job! Also the Paul people did a much better job of filling in the forms completely – if they decide to throw out all the forms that don’t have a signature at the bottom, we’ll be in even better shape.

District 43 PROVISIONAL results (not including two other small caucus locations, and these are NOT final results, subject to checking voter registrations and whether the forms were filled out correctly and such):

Huckabee 17 delegates

McCain 48 delegates

Paul 62 delegates

Romney 7 delegates

Uncommited 11 delegates

So don’t worry guys!!! The MSM is trying once again tohold us down by reporting false results!!! Ron Paul did take Washington!!!
