McCain is unstoppable in the the Stupid Party.

I'm voting FOR Ron Paul on March 4, 2008. Not Obama. Not Hitlery. Not "Insane" McCain. Why?? Because he is the only man running for President who is brave enough to break with all of the bad policies that have almost ruined this nation. You voted for Obama and that's your right. But if you vote for Obama this November and that sorry bastard becomes President we'll all remember you voted for him, iconoclast. And we'll exercise OUR RIGHT (with christine's permission) to excoriate you in the public arena called freedom4um. Fair enough?

Not trying to be obtuse, but what could possibly prevent you from voting for Dr Paul as a write-in? I doubt any such effort would result in a Ron Paul presidency, but it is nonetheless a simple way to serve notice.
I've never done a write-in before, but that's my plan for now, largely depending on who the Libertarians or Constitutional Parties run.

I was thinking about making bland interjection about subfactions until I read that, but then remembered what a large chunk of the Democratic Party is consumed by foriegn passions as well.

I'm assuming that we'll be allowed to write in a candidate this election cycle. Seeing how the primary process has panned out, I wouldn't be surprised if our ballot comes out with only two choices.

I've never done a write-in vote, as attested by revision of my previous post (my mind wanders, lol), but I think it's a damned fine idea. I'll schedule a week off work, rent a lawnchair, and sit there and watch them count them all.

Obama is bought and paid for is my opinion. I derive no pleasure from that, it actually hurts if I think too hard about it, but I've seen him kowtow to AIPAC one too many times, which is one with me.

I know where you're coming from ... I was frothing at the mouth for that at the point where the Decider cut and ran from there to begin the nutty invasion of Iraq.
Alas, I fear that train may have left the station on that option (though there is bit of fun-thought still titillating me too).
One good thing (maybe the only one) has come out of the Iraq tragedy for me. That is that I have come to think that, if left to their own devices, the Arabs may very well erase these Jihad nuts from their own turbulent midst. As predictable, Bush has taken credit for the put down of al qaeda west of Baghdad but that was the due to the efforts of Sunni sheiks.

And which 3rd, 4th, or 5th party did/do you want him to run under? Even the Constitution Party from what I read the other day is not yet, but is hopeful, of being on all 50 state ballots.
You do realize, of course, that the makes the nut just that much harder if, for instance, he would do as you are bidding him to do, and whatever party you chose was not on all 50 states--say, they're only on 45 states? What then? You just made the job a hell of a lot harder. What if those 5 missing states were something like Californicate, Florida, or NY with their large # of electoral votes?
And speaking of electoral votes.......how does each state select their electors? It is based on who wins each individual state's race, or based on the state's party in power, or ???
And say, for the sake of argument....there was no one reaching the magic # of electoral votes required to win.......then it goes to the House, does it not? And do you honestly believe that a house run by demoncraps would select anyone but a fellow traveler to become president?

People with values have a keener sense of the worth they place upon their vote. When the choices amount to NO CHOICE only those without that sense of worth would even waste their time. Iconoclast, you obviously fit in the "without worth" category.

I'm convinced that Ron starts off a 3-way race against any of those quislings with double digits just in protest. Maybe starts off with 15% of more, prompting others to get in.

And, then of course, the Dumbocrats selected the wooden headed Algore to head their ticket. And I fear they will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once more and hand the nomination to Hitlery, the only one on earth that that halfwit McC would stand a chance against.
