Clinton and McCain would do pretty much the same things when in office, so naturally they think well of one another. Why not give up the whole phony two party election charade and just run a McCain/Clinton or Clinton/McCain ticket?

Not that I needed any elucidation on this, but this tells us that Obama is indeed the lesser of the two evils on the Dem side.

McInsane is the greatest evil of all with the Rod of Ham a distant second. McStrangelove is the best hope for nuclear annihilation of most of the planet Satan has ever been able to bring this close to high office.

Obama will not achieve anything in office, which is why he is the lesser evil. Were he actually a threat to the status quo, he wouldn't have made it this far to begin with. A faction of the shadow government is backing him. The Bush Crime Family is backing Hillarodham.

As usual, that leaves the electorate to be screwed, blued and tattooed.

Obama would spend most of his four years talking about hope, uniting, building bridges, and other sweet nothings. As long as he doesn't have a Congress that hands him bills for more welfare spending or supports peacekeeping missions for some tribal war in Africa, he won't do that much damage.

I'm not sure whether Clinton or McCain would be worse for the country. Their policies would be just about identical. They're both liars and crooks without any scruples who would rob the country blind, start wars, and enrich their friends, but you're probably right about Mad Mac being more likely to hit the nuclear button. What's worse, they've both proven their ability to manipulate Congress into going along with their agendas.

Nothing will change, and things will get worse.

If America is destroyed, it may be by Americans who salute the flag, sing the national anthem, march in patriotic parades, cheer Fourth of July speakers - normally good Americans who fail to comprehend what is required to keep our country strong and free - Americans who have been lulled into a false security (April 1968).---Ezra Taft Benson, US Secretary of Agriculture 1953-1961 under Eisenhower
