RICHARDSON, Texas - Republican candidate John McCain has had trouble winning over some of his party’s conservatives, who suspect that deep down he’s not one of them. On Thursday, McCain may have confirmed their suspicions with a slip of the tongue.

“I’m a proud conservative, liberal Republic…,” McCain said before catching himself.

I wonder what a "conservative liberal" is. Sounds very strange but then no one ever claimed McLame was anything if not strange. I have been reading some interesting comments about him lately--they say he didn't get to be called "Ace" because he shot down five enemy aircraft but five of ours. Guess he has been working for the commies longer than most people realize.

Not only a conservative liberal, but a "conservative liberal republican".

About the debate: "it'll be dispirited it'll be spirited"

... and afterward, they'll have some cake and eat it too.

He's already sounding very presidential.

Not only a conservative liberal, but a "conservative liberal republican".

In trying to be all things to all people he has wound up being nothing much to anyone. Just another sordid, sellout politician. Of course he is not completely worthless, no one is. He can always be pointed to as a bad example.

Mad Mac tries to be all things to all people, and falls flat on his face. Bill Clinton was so much more smooth when it came to political fraud.

Freudian slips are inadvertent admissions of masked truths about those making them.

Heehee, he deserves the flack he'll get on this one. Everyone else know much how and in what areas he is liberal as he does.
