The Amboy Dukes were 16 and 17 years old when they wrote this song.

Nugent used to play a lot in St. Louis, where I grew up. I saw him when I was 15, and since I was standing in front of him in a small place, he almost spit on me. Right then and there, I knew what he was.

There were also many, many rumors that he liked girls that were far too young. Courtney Love claimed she gave me a BJ when she was 12 and he was 28. I believe it.

One of my friends knows him, and claims he is a complete asshole who destroys everything he touches. I believe that, too.

My husband went to a show in the 70's to see another artist and Nugent played first. He thought he had his fans excited, so he leaped off the stage and into their arms. The fans ran and he executed a big splat on the cement floor. He left on a stretcher.

Nugent's not right in his head, even now.

One of my friends knows him quite well, said he can't get along with anyone unless they do things exactly his way.

If he wasn't lucky enough to do a musician, he'd probably be driving a forklift in a warehouse.
